So you think that those bum of the months fighters Joe Louis feasted on were better than Iggy, Ausitn, Thompson? In other eras most HW's would be small cruiserweights by today's standards. Just because the HW division often lacks excitement these days, it's just plain silly to assume that previous eras had more talent among those who got a title shot.

 

Strange since it's only happened twice...one of which was against one of the greatest HW punchers of all time, the other of which he fell 5 feet onto concrete.
