Neither guys is a real top 10 or possibly top 20 heavyweight at the moment, though you could probably make a case for Mormeck being in the top 20. At this point in their careers Mormeck will beat Rahman and the idea of Haye-Mormeck 2 isn't very appealing.
I think if Hasim fights the way he did against James Toney part 1, he'll beat Mormeck. Course that was many moons ago.
Wait, where does this leave Chagaev? They cannot have 2 mandatory challengers at the same time. "Super Challenger"? "Interim Challenger"? "Challenger in recess"? :nut
This should be a pretty good matchup. Both will have to train hard because Mormeck will probably try to win it on points with his flurries, and avoid big shots from Rahman in the early rounds. They'll both have stamina issues. K2 and Ustinov will be pissed about getting passed over though, if this is actually an eliminator to be mandatory challenger.
This is silly. Why does Haye get to face a 'mandatory' who are washed up fighters? Rahhman was absolutely manhandled by Klitschko in his fight. Mormeck is old, does not have much of a heavyweight resume. The only thing good is Haye has absolutely no excuse in not signing on the dotted line with Wladimir on July 2. Or, if it is 'arrogant' of Klitschko to have a warmup, have the 'winner' of Chisora/Klitshcko face Haye. This is his mandatory, not til later in the year. Nothing, no excuse from stopping him from signing on the dotted line with Klitschko right now. He's not gonna lose his title by facing Klitschko on July 2. Don't need to worry about Povetkin or anybody else. Haye fans no longer can have that excuse.
:good Absolut right. No excuse more for Haye. Wlad says, i will fight Haye on 2the of july. It is obvious the WBA is not forcing Haye to fight the mandatory so Haye can fight Wlad.
