Quite apart from the fact that I can't figure out what he's done to merit being the mandatory challenger, he claims that winning it will make him a three-time world champion. Really? Really? Even if he did win it he would still be a one-time world champion as far as I'm concerned, he wouldn't even be the No. 1 WBA heavyweight, let alone world number one.
His other 'world' title? I'm not sure if he means the interim WBC title he got by beating Monte Barrett, or the WBU title he held before beating Lennox Lewis for his only true world title.

Rahman is out grabbing Chauncy Welliver leftovers like Galen Brown and can't even knock the guy out as fast after Brown gains 15 pounds in a month not even training for him. Rahman weighed more than Welliver did against Solis for that fight. 2 guys headed in 2 totally different directions. They should fight so that at least a couple top 10 HW's met up to see Povetkin. Rahman hasn't even done half of Holyfield's work to be here. This is a sad joke.

THE WBA is a joke! Wladimir is the real champion anyway, not Povetkin.........

I wouldn't mind seeing this fight. I'd like to see how Povetkin handles Rahman's size. I could see Povetkin taking this fight in 2012 and then fighting Klitschko afterwards.

Rahman straight after Chagaev, it isn't bad and Rahman tends to always be in good fights win or lose. Ideally he would fight a Klitshcko but with the corrupt WBA handing him a belt where he doesn't have to fight Wlad for about 18 months it's to be expected that he will milk the belt until then against opponents he expects to beat.

Obviously Rahman is more punch drunk than Holyfield.:lol:

Doesn't he know that Potvetkin won the title after he won his last bout. Any day, and for almost any reason, they can adjust their rankings.

He has been the beneficiary of such, so how does he not know that the WBA will do as it pleases. Holy is first, then the WBA will force an eliminator between Rahman and Arreola.

Should he somehow beat Arreola, then he might get his shot at the paper(what's weaker than paper?) belt. That is if Valuev stays retired and Haye doesn't make a fight with any top 20 rated WBA fighter and win first.:lol:

Rahman had better lay off the big macs, or else Povetkin will embarrass him.

He may anyway, but if Rahman were in shape, and got his skills sharpened, he may give Povetkin a good fight.

Good thing about WBA regular title is that we get to see some top contenders mixing it up and not just wait around for the Klitchko fight
