If Rahman said anything post fight I haven't heard it. I hate to say it, but I agree with what some posters have said: He looked and acted like he just came to pick up a check.
I saw Rahman in training for that fight... and he wasn't training like a guy just going in there to lay down for a check. What he was doing was obvious. He trained his ass off, he was in good shape... and he was trying to slide under the radar and catch Wlad taking him lightly.... just like Corrie Sanders. The problem is that Wlad has learned from his past mistakes and he clearly isn't taking anyone lightly.
You got it all wrong. First fight was even, Toney made Rahman quit in the second. Outboxing Toney in the second ?, Rahman barely managed to land a couple of jabs.
LL said he was out of shape. Rahman weighed 10 pounds less for the second Toney fight and 16 pounds less in the first Toney fight. Wlad got the job done but against an overweight and out of prime Rahman.
Toney were ahead of score cards before Rahman decided to quit. :deal As a Klitchko fan, you must know that it’s all what counts. Besides you don’t have to downgrade Toneys performance, to make your boy look good.
:rofl:rofl:rofl Type with my fists, I like that. I just thought it was a stupid comment that Rahman 'didn't want to **** Wlad off'. They're both going in there trying to batter each other senseless, what does it matter if one guy is angry or not? It just shits me that this is what heavyweight boxing is turning into, that's all.
Simply put, Rahman got what he deserved.Rahman never earned a shot at the lineal title. Rahman has not been a real contender since he lost to Lewis. He didn't deserve a shot and I think the fact that Klitshcko had to fight him does not add any stock to Wlad or take any away from Rahman. Rahman hasn't been hungry since the first Lewis fight. 254?? that is unreal for a fighter his size. Rahman has always performed better in the 230's.
