Man, that is the strangest thing. It is like no matter what he does, he loses to Maskaev. I don't think Rock would go anywhere near him. He probably thinks it is a curse or something. What about he takes on the winner of Sprott vs Harrison? He could make some good money overseas.
Rahman can go fight the senior's division: a re-match with Evander, a fight with Briggs, a bout with Golota, or a showdown with McCall.
Rachman and Briggs, neither one is really old for a heavyweight. Golota and McCall are a bit long in the tooth, yes.
Maskaev is more cooked than Rahman. Hell, he's more cooked than Bowe. If you lose to Nagy Aguilera, let alone by first round KO, you should be officially blacklisted from licensing in any state.
Just found out Rahman KO'd the guy in the 1st round. "Rahman knocked down Boldridge twice in the round before the referee called an end to the fight. Boldridge landed several punches, putting up a gutsy effort before Rahman backed him up against the ropes and finished the fight." http://www.stjoenews.net/news/2010/mar/26/rahman-knocks-out-boldridge-first-round/ What good does this do Rahman? I mean, he could have got a quality sparring partner, and going rounds with him would have been better for him that starching a random bum in the 1st round.
This is great news. He just needed a low caliber opponent t6 shake off a bit of rust. A few more tune up bouts and he will be ready for a step up.
I remember Rahman did some training at the gym I go to for his fight with Toney. However after his entourage pretty much highjacked the gym(along with some guy wearing a crown who's only job was to yell out constant praise to Hasim), he was never invited back. He trained in my hometown again for his fight with Wladimir Klitschko but it was at another gym where they apparently had no problem with the crown wearing motivational guy lol
