I seem to recall rahman was set up to meet George but he ended up fighting briggs instead. Who wins this one. Rahman, up and coming , does he give the old guy a career ending beating or can foreman get one more win on his record?
Rahman probably wins this on points, or he gets knocked out if he gets careless. Yes, even 49 y.o. Foreman was harder hitter than Oleg Maskaev
If we're gonna say that Rahman could get stopped, which is possible, we also have to take into account that Foreman could get stopped. It could turn into a worse version of the Stewart fight for Foreman and lead him to a TKO loss.
I highly doubt, Briggs hit harder than Rahman for sure. And he couldn't stop Foreman. Rahman couldn't stop Obed Sullivan, 40+ y.o. Berbick, 40+ y.o. Ferguson, Monte Barrett and even Oleg Maskaev (twice).
I'd say the Rock on points. Rahman was pretty solid up until he lost that rematch with Lewis, he was miles in front of Tua in '98 until getting caught after the bell, he took some bombs off heavy handed Sanders so I think he could handle what '97 Foreman could muster. I'll take the Rock on points,
Rahman whole career is based on his getting lucky against Lewis. That is it. Rahman was a average fighter at best. Briggs had far more power , faster hands, and a better chin. He tasted 48 year old Foreman's power and ran like a girl. Rahman would do the same thing. Losing by points or maybe even a late KO.
The **** all these trolls sucking Shannon Briggs steroid shriveled dick lately? What is there to gain from that... Rahman outpoints this version of Foreman fairly easy. Gives him a Stewart like beating and gets a decision he actually earned. The Foreman that fought Holyfield, probably beats Rahman, even fight.
I agree Rahman was better than Stewart and this matchup puts him against an even worse version of Foreman.
Rahman could win this vs the 1997 version since Big George was slower than molasses at that point. He looked bad against both Saverese and Briggs (Even though he arguably won both). But Rahman is nothing special. And, I believe the Foreman from the Holyfield fight would decimate Rahman. A young, prime Foreman would take him out even earlier.
