Who do you think will win and why?

Anyone have any idea what shape they will be coming in at? I have heard Rahman has sparred over 150 rounds and is in good shape. Don't know about Toney though. Has he laid of the burger's?

I like Toney. Rathman was never the same after he left the Niners.

Toney's appearence and rumours have been very encouraging about his weight, most are expecting him to be in the 220s and some of the faithful hope for even below that.

If so, then it'll be Rahman's busy workrate against Toney's counterpunching, and like their first fight an interesting style clash.

Myself, I have a feeling Rahman's gonna get this one, in quite an entertaining fight.

im a rahman fan. guy had the tools to be the man. he would show up and rock someone or show up out of shape and not give a ****. its a shame. i recall when bouice fischer trained him and we all know how old school and honest he was. someone asked him who could rule the HW landscape and he said without a doubt hasim rahman. when hes focused hes a damn good fighter.

he shouldnt have lost the maskaev fight. again not being focused led him to get KO'd. all night he was killing him with the jab and instead he tried going to the KO and got tired.

i heard rahman say if he won a title again he'd retire. if he wins this week he said another fight after should get him a title shot. id like to see him get a fight with tua on. seeing how he should be 2-0 againt him. maybe a 3rd with maskaev

I'm a little more interested in this fight now than I was considering that both men are looking to turn up in shape and seem motivated.

I'm gonna go against the majority and say Toney in this fight, I think he'll surprise people and actually turn up in shape for once (or as 'in-shape' as James Toney can possibly be) and motivated enough to win this fight.

im pretty sure the majority is siding with toney. i dont see toney, whos almost 40, doing anything to rahman. even if hes in better shape that doesnt mean hes going to be a better fighter than he was last time around. remember when bowe looked in good shape for golota in the rematch?

this is goona be a serious JT.

    my guess 223-217.

i wont be surprised if he stops the rock..,although 117-111 something like that is more likely..,

    take it to em JAMES!!!!

I got Toney to win this one, both men know it's probably there last chance at a title shot in the future, though I feel Toney wants it more and that will be the difference in this fight.

Rahman has looked like **** the last 2 years, his fights against glass chin Zuri Lawrence and Sykes were terrible, in each fight Rahman looked to get rocked, when neither one are not known for having power. Sykes, who had his head violently punched off the ropes in the knockout Sam Peter gave him a couple years back in the second round, the best Rahman could do is decision him.

I am taking a chance in saying this, but I feel Toney will stop Rahman late in the fight, similar to what he did to Holyfield 5 or so years back. Look for Toney to counter well in this fight, and land some telling hooks on the lethargic Rahman, who will breakdown and finish late in the fight.

Toney was under 230 for the Batchelder fight

I can't stand either fighter, but I guess I'll go with Toney. I think his left hooks to the body will disable Rahman.
