    November 4th in Kazan, Russia.

IBO cruiser title at stake (1st defense of Chakhkiev, title formerly held by Afolabi in 2013 until he was stripped)

THIS IS A COOL FIGHT! :)

Wow, two of my favourite cruisers going at it..

However, Ola looked awful against Ramirez, maybe Chakhkiev ain't as good but I don't want Ola to take another beating like that.

Afolabi has 3" of height and probably as much or more in reach. (my guess is 3½")

Chakhkiev is younger by three years, a southpaw, and physically stronger.

    :bbb

I don't judge Afolabi too harshly for losing to Ramírez.

El Tyson del Abasto is world class. Better than Chakhkiev, IMO.

I'm not throwing off on Ramirez at all, I actually prefer Ramirez to Chakhkiev, but I think Rakhim has the edge in power.

Excellent fight! Another excellent Russian bill, man these Russian cards with HW's/CW's are all card of the year contenders, just shows what can be done with those divisions IF promoters actually go their acts together.

Lebedev/Kalenga was my favorite card of the year by far in terms of entertainment, Povetkin/Perez was too far behind either, this card has the potential to give both a run for their money.

As for he fight it really can go either way.... Afolabi is more than capable of beating nearly anyone in the division on a good night, but he's extremely inconsistent. I've got to go with Chakhkiev here... He seems to be the hungrier of the two, and is riding a bit more momentum, though it would not shock me in the slightest if Afolabi had a good night here.

I just hope Chakhkiev doesn't fight like a re**** with throwing punches at Afolabi's gloves. He needs to be conservative here and try to win a decision.

My thoughts exactly, if he blows his wad looking for the KO he's going to be in trouble.... He's been fighting more conservatively as of late so I don't think that will be a problem.

Yeah defo, he uses his feet more nowadays and selects his punches better, rather than the plant feet and throw bombs style he had in the past.

He doesn't need to risk getting Diablo'd. Although even if he does gas out I'm not sure Afolabi could finish him.

Ola seems on the slip pretty hard and he ain't no Diablo...

    Chakhk by stoppage, probably late.
