If there is a thread on it already I apologize I know the Jabos and Quillen fight eclipsed it. But it was a decent s**** I went to see it in Fresno, to be honest I was expecting more of a showcase where Ramirez came in and obliterated Garcia. But my Respects to Garcia he put on a good fight and effort even knocking down Ramirez in the 2nd, while Ramirez took the UD Garcia made him earn it. There were also some decent local guys on the undercard that put on some pretty good bouts. It was a great event and Timothy Bradley was there meeting some fans seems like a genuine gentleman, polite and cordial not going to lie made me a bit of a Fan boy. Haahahahhaaha I am going to try and keep myself more informed now on some of the lesser known local guys doing their thing like I said a lot of talent and grit out there some times where you least expect it.
Was surprised when I heard Ramirez was dropped. Still, good for a young guy to be put through the grinder early on.
I just re-watched it, and I am going to give my honest personal opinion. From his other matches I have seen, I do not believe Wild Card Gym is good fit for his style. He seemed a bit sloppier, less technical and more "careless" which is why I think he got caught in the 2nd. Honestly I believe his previous trainer was a better fit for him, but if he was going to make a change, I honestly believe that based on his style and what I have seen, I feel like Nacho Beristein would be perfect for him. Issue being logistics, Nacho is in Mexico, but a training camp out there "could' work. Just my 2 cents, but I don't think Wild Card is a good match for him given from what I saw and I have seen in past performances. Some people say Garcia but I a disagree I think Nacho is the man for him based on his style, he already has the power, talent, and technical prowess I think he just needs to build on it. Thats just my opinion...
