Ramiro Blanco Hernández vs. Robín Zamora II & Eliézer Gazo Muñoz vs. Byron Javier Castellón VII RBR

Yeah he and Chocolatito are both in attendance; they've shown and mentioned them a few times. More so the latter, though.

 

Blanco is orthodox, Zamora southpaw.

 

Round 1

Blanco is jabbing his way in, and then attempts to cut the gap with a sweeping uppercut while leaving his rear foot lazily drifting behind. Zamora flits away, then breaks laterally and starts painting Blanco's face with light paintbrush-daubing right jabs. Lots of quick body pecks by Zamora backing up. Blanco is putting together straights & uppers but unable to get off with anything in combination as Zamora keeps gumming up the works, flashing his own light punches in quickly enough to largely jam Blanco's offense. Quick right hooks bouncing off the side of Blanco's head as Zamora spirals away from him and then jumps in to clinch. They exchange in the final ten seconds as Blanco drives forth with increased purpose, but still not much accuracy.

Zamora's trunks reminding me for some reason of Gabe Rosado. Think he wore a pair like them in a couple of fights. Really not much else similar about them.

Round 2

Blanco is blundering into counter lefts down the pipe and right hooks that crash unobstructed into his left temple as he positions his skull helpfully in the strike zone bending forward and lunging ineffectively with scooping body shots. Zamora is dancing circles around him, throwing shoeshine & fast weak uppercut combos into Blanco's face and chest, never letting him near enough to retaliate with anything solid.

Wait...how the hell did neither Jhonny, nor Micky, nor Jaguarcito manage to so much as knock down somebody this easy to hit?!?!??!?!?!?!?!

Round 3

Blanco is leaping up off his toes with left hooks now, but only closing half the distance and barely grazing Zamora, if that. Meanwhile a good half of Zamora's counters are making at least incidental contact, but none discouraging Blanco. Still a connect and probably generalship edge for the southpaw, but no longer Managua's own miniaturized version of Calzaghe vs. Lacy as the pressure of Blanco starts to hit pay-dirt now and then. Blanco does best when he burrows in and sweeps both fists at the body, which seems to slow Zamora down a tad.
