Rios is a good body puncher and they look to be affecting Polanco early on.

    Round 1 Rios 10-9

Rios comes out quite aggressive, immediately walks into a hook, which backs him off. Rios going to the body, Polanco firing back with body punches of his own. Both battering the body, both men being hurt to the body. Rios landing a nice overhand right. They trade hooks at the bell.

    Round 1 Rios 10-9
    Round 2 Rios 10-9

Polanco ripping him to the body, Rios claims it strayed low, it didn't. Polanco landing uppercuts. Rios with overhands. Polanco jabbing well. Rios output is giving him issues, Polanco goes southpaw. Ref warns Rios for going low. Polanco back to orthodox. RIos lunging in landing nice clean rights.

The only question mark with Rios is his punch resistance after getting stopped brutally a few times but his own offense still looks pretty sharp and hes cutting the ring off well.

This looks like the same Rios who beat Velez and De LA Hoya.

    Round 1 Rios 10-9
    Round 2 Rios 10-9
    Round 3 Rios 10-9, close

Early on it's a jabbing contest, both trading overhands. RIos with a sustained body attack, although many of the shots are landing to the arms. Polanco still picking his shots well and is landing counters, especially an effective uppercut. It's making Rios a little skittish. RIos landing one twos, Polanco rolling with them. Hard straight right from Polanco late.

That was a better round for Polanco, he's getting closer with his shots.
