Did you think it would happen earlier? They had to film TUF, and now they have to air all the TUF episodes. Both he and Forrest had to sit out training for 6 months because Rampage broke his hand and Forrest needed shoulder surgery, so it's not like they have been chomping at the bit. I think they did a good job of making the best out of having two top stars injured.
I didn't think it would happen earlier...but it should have. A broken hand doesn't take 10 months to heal and personally, I think that stupid show ****s things up (as far as fight schedules go) and takes away from the sport. I think it should be scrapped. I realize it's a huge advertising slot, but I think it's shitty some fighters have to wait 10 months to fight because of some STUPID reality TV show.
That show isn't considered stupid by millions of other viewers, and will turn a so-so fight like Griffin vs Rampage into a big seller.
I guess you're right. Even Paris Hilton's reality show can gather millions. It's sad. Big seller, okay. Exciting fight? We'll see....hopefully this break doesn't lead to a lackluster fight.
Well, you should tell Rampage that, and make him train. Same goes for Forrest and his shoulder surgery. People just need to listen to you more.
Rich Franklin had a metal plate put in his hand and was back to fighting a few months later...not 10. I realize injuries set fighters back, but to delay fighting 10 months because of some stupid show takes away from the sport and it's fighters.
They should go ahead with the shows, but they should have something like showdown bouts for the two guys, after the next guy in line to fight.. Hypothetical.. Rampage is scheduled to fight Forrest in 6 months, so the next two guys in line are Evans and Wanderlei, or something like that.. Evans and Wand have the show, fight at the end in the Finale.. They are training their guys, they should be training with them. Winner of this fight becomes #1 contender, also we get to see the tuf finale.
