I think Rampage will ko Silva quickly if the fight is a stand-up affair. Silva's only chance for a victory is to get the fight to the ground.
I love thiago Silva ! dont know why all the hate, what he was doing too vera was very smart, making vera get angry throw vera off his gameplan so he could land his shots, yes some of it was for fun like playing drums on the back but people have done more disrespecting stuff. this fight comes down too the better chin and better punching power which i give to rampage i see rampage win tko 3rd hopefully im wrong id love to thiago win
woah a lot of people wishing for Silva to be ko'd why? Any way, I have a feeling Rampage is going to have a hard time against him.
Rampage should be patient and turn counter puncher for this one. Thiago still puts all his power in too one shot tryna take someones head off. Rookie mistake and it costs him against the top guys and he rarely looks good in the later stages, like when he had Evans doin the chicken dance. Spent so much energy swingin for the fences he didnt have anything left to finish him off Should be violent while it lasts
Good fight, and competitive if Silva fights smart. If Thiago decides to shove him up against the cage and dirty box, or take him down and beat on him from top position, he could win the decision, with a smaller possibility of a late submission or TKO. Rampage's takedown defence isn't the most impressive, and he can be controlled surprisingly easily in the clinch. Silva is a solid BJJ black belt, and knows how to use the cage to his advantage standing and on the mat. He's also got some rather awkward looking but effective takedowns, and looked massive in the Vera fight, so I don't see him getting muscled. However, my prediction is a Rampage KO. I'm not one of the fabled ESB chin-checkers, but I think Thiago's jaw is weak, and that's bad news against Rampage, who's a superior technical striker. In his UFC career to date Silva's been rocked by James Irvin, Tomasz Drwal and Houston Alexander, with Machida wobbling him several times before the knockout. Jackson should be able to keep the fight standing for a while at least, and there's a solid possibility Silva that decides to trade with him anyway, at least to begin with.
