Quinton Rampage Jackson is a former UFC Light Heavyweight champion, a Pride standout, and one of MMA's biggest stars. But in recent years, he's shown an increasing level of frustration with MMA. From his "retirement" in 2009 to today, Rampage has, at times, looked more focused on his numerous non-MMA projects than his fighting career.

After his UFC 144 upset loss to Ryan Bader, Rampage was very vocal in how he felt he had been mistreated by the UFC, letting a lot of allegations fly against Dana White and Joe Silva and clearly stating: "I don't wanna fight for the UFC no more." With one fight left on his contract, it's very possible the former champion may have just one more Octagon appearance before walking away.

Our SBN colleagues at MMA Mania spoke to Rampage about that final fight, and his comments showed his continued frustration:

Brian Hemminger (MMAmania.com): This is the last fight in your contract. Are you concerned at all that [the UFC] might try to bury you like they did with Arlovski in the last fight of his contract?

Pretty clear from his fights Rampage doesn't love fighting any more. Would be interesting to know what the 'real' beef is with Dana/UFC.

Rampage has made a name for himself and can probably make 10x the amount of money being in films.

Nope, he thought he was going to be a big movie star after the A-team but it didn't pay him the huge money he assmumed a star like him would get. If that was the case he would have "retired" from fighting already and continued his acting career.

Not to say he still can't/won't still do it because he likely still has many career options ahead of him.

Rampage has never intimated that he ever thought that. So i'm not sure where you've got that one from. Either way he was paid well for the A-Team. That said he's still in the UFC because he's under contract. I wouldn't be surprised to see him fighting else where though. Rampage still loves a scrap.

I think there might be something wrong with his head.

They gave him a can in his first fight, then gave him a title shot at the biggest star in the sport. After that they bailed him out of jail, and got him out of that situation.

I don't see what they did that was wrong.

Also, he even admitted doing the A-Team was a bad idea.

I would have considered the Ryan Bader fight as a easy win for Rampage........**** me Tito beat Bader

He can't compete at the top level anymore regardless of his head being in it or not.... he keep saying he was in the best physical shape of his life against Jones and got a terrible beating.

I am going to guess they won't bury him. They will probably give him Shogun for his last fight like they were planning to do.

After that, he'll be gone. If he wins, UFC will probably offer him a decent deal, but one that Rampage won't accept. If he loses, UFC will probably lowball him, and then he'll just leave like he said he was going to do.

Looking at Rampage these days i honestly don't know if he's got a single training camp left in him , and can he make 205 ?? , i doubt it , he's done , and the reason he doesn't like the UFC is because he's losing fights and its sour grapes

I like Rampage , always have , i think at his peak he was excellent , but he's done now , i don't think he should fight again
