If I was in rampage's position and dana white talked **** in public about me, I would probably react in the same way. Would oscar **** on one of his most popular fighters in public because they asked for a break? Dana White is a *****.
I don't see peoples anger at Rampage. As a fan I want him to be happy and fighting but as a person I don't see any major issues with what he has said.

If he wants to retire then fair play, sounds like he was treated kinda shitty and he'd had enough. He's only looking out for himself and you can't fault him for that. Although I must say I was looking forward to him knocking Rashad the **** out!
I don't understand how you can say that Dana being extremely pissed off for Rampage bailing on a fight after millions of dollars and a tv show to promote it is him being a dick. Lets just look at the chain of events in the last while with Rampage and Dana. Rampage goes nuts, leads police on a high speed chase, hits a pregnant woman whos baby dies, goes to jail. Dana personally flies to LA to bail him out, gets him a top lawyer, pays his legal bills, gets him off scott free, sets him up with the Wolfslair gym to get him away from his personal problems. Dana gives Rampage the chance to redeem his losses to Wanderlei. Dana gives Rampage a second staring role in a TUF series, giving him national television once a week and a huge fight with Rashad as the main event of a PPV at the end of the show. Rampage refuses to fight Rashad because he wants to make a movie remake of an 80s TV show. Dana says "thats ****ing absurd after all I've done for you; not to mention you are not an actor" Rampage retires to go become a failed movie star. Seriously, this guy has had everything handed to him by Dana, only for him to **** up a whole series of promotions leading up to a fight with Rashad as a main event on a PPV, but yet Dana is the bad guy. I don't think asking your fighters to fight the fights they agree to, especially after you have helped them out far beyond any reasonable expectations is anything other than what every rational human being in the world would do.
Well said Beebs. It's funny some people forget the things Dana/UFC have done for Rampage. Both could/should have handled the siuation better. I'm sure eventually they will kiss and make up.
Dana White is a dick but he takes care of his fighters. On the other hand Rampage's gota do what Rampage gota do.
Well after this one at least twice. His movie career will be over soon and after that is done he'll get back to fighting and that will be over shortly afterwards.
Rampage should have just went off and made the movie, and not made a big fuss about it. Let Dana talk crap about him for now, and come back after filming is done and resume fighting. I doubt Dana's grudge would have meant denying Rampage any more bouts with the UFC. And it's easy to criticize Rampage for taking a movie role, but there's always the possibility that it might actually turn into something. Granted, the odds are against him, but I think it's smart for him to try. He'll likely only shoot for about 3 months, and then get back into the octagon. He's created far too much drama with this whole retirement announcement.
