One of my old school favorite veteran fighters, Randall Bailey got locked out of competition in the USA, so at 41 years old, he packed up his gear and headed for new exploits in fantastic fight town, South Korea.
Following his dynamite KO of prospect Mike Jones Bailey went on to lose a wide UD decision to Devon Alexander followed by two wins (one by KO, one by DQ) to two journeymen, Toledo and King. King lost 6 of his last 6 fights, the sixth by a Bailey 2nd round KO.

At 41 Bailey still looks good physically, but more and more we can see how his reflexes have deteriorated, so competitive in Korea may be very competitive.

A trainer in Bailey's corner tonight will be Jeff Mayweather, whose a special guest.
His opponent is a aggressive orthodox 28 year old, Shusaku Fujinaka. This is an important fight for Fujinaka who has lost 3 of his last 6 fights.

I can't find a stream or video anywhere. Did you record and upload? :happy

It's a Gotdamn shame the US boxing community doesn't give Bailey his hard earned props!

They say the last thing to go is the power punch, but that was extremely impressive since he was moving back while throwing the counter left hook.

Congrats Bailey on your Korean début!

I still would like to see the whole fight.

I've felt this guys power and he punches like a truck. Scary power, but is a nice guy outside the ring

His power is very likely why no one in the US wanted to take the risk and fight him.

The left was never even his dominant hand (though he did have power in both).

That makes it all the more impressive to be scoring a spectacular KO with as much wear and tear as Bailey has on him.

Not that it was a terrific opponent, but still.

Not bad at all for his first Korean bout, but I expect they will now start stepping up the level of opponent for tougher fights.
Shows that Bailey can still certainly pull the trigger.

Bailey has been sitting on the shelf for a long time so I expect that he is eager to fight 4-8 times per year to maximize his time left in the sport. He's 41 so he has maybe 4 years of matches left in him.

That's a pretty aggressive estimate but he could definitely punch his way into another word title stab in the next yr or 2 if he steps up progressively from here out.

The interview I read, he was definitely super frustrated about how he'd been treated and locked out of US competition. I imagine Rigo feels the same way.

Personally, I think it shows the state of US boxing when supposed young lions dusk an old veteran like that, and no mainstream promoter will sign him.

Well Bailey responded by taking his show on the road, and I think his next fight is here in the USA. It would be sweet to see him force his way back into contention and eliminate a few pretenders.
