Ok , here's the reason why i think Couture vs Lesnar is a 50/50
Lesnar is a bigger version of Randleman. In terms of wrestling ability..both are top dogs in their discipline (so is couture)..However unlike Randleman...Lesnar doesn't gas as fast..His stamina never betrays him...Randleman is faster with his striking though.

And i think that if couture isn't capable to submit or to KO Lesnar...Stamina will be crucial. Why ? Because if it wasn't for Randleman's stamina problem...He probably would've grabbed a decision.

Maybe i'm full of ****...But watch the fight for yourself.

    Part 01

As long as Randleman isn't tired...He dominates. Judge it for yourself.

    Part 02

As soon as Randleman starts showing signs of fatigue...you know that he's ****ed. But that won't happen with Lesnar.

A good fight to watch as a possible preview. I think the strength and youth of Lesnar will win him this fight. I hope Randy beats him and give Dana the finger.

And when did this fight take place?

Couture in seven months will be 46. Barring a mistake due to inexperience, I can't see Randy winning this one.

He'll probably need every angle he can find. Expect Lesnar to take him down and GNP or if Randy can defend against his strength, Lesnar might lay and pray to a ud.

Randleman is actually a better wrestler and a better athlete then Brock but Lesnar is stronger and a lot bigger.

Actually? I'd say arguably. One thing I'm sure of, RC wont be able to hold BL up against the cage for 25 minutes and dirty box him - it was a struggle against Gonzaga whos 240 and cant wrestle; BL is 285 and NCAA champion. Can't see Randy becoming a submissions whizz, but lets hope.

Its a valid point, but it was 8 years ago, and Randy has a much better ground game now, and an even more improved stand up game.

But it is a very dangerous fight for randy.

Randleman was the most explosive MMA artist I have seen as far as takedowns in the first round.

I have a friend who had the displeasure of wrestling him in a college open tournament. My friend was a two time all American and said it was the worst beatdown he'd ever gotten--he could only laugh about it----

Randleman was an amazing collegiate wrestler. It would have been interesting to have seen him wrestle Cael Sanderson had they been closer in age--would have been a very interesting match indeed....

Not more credentialed than Randleman at the collegiate level who was a 2x NCAA D. I champ and runner-up 1x.....

Never said he was. Simply stating that Lesnar is as well. P4P they would have been an interesting match up.

Why are you so sure Lesnar's cardio is strong? I'm not saying it isn't, but laying on Hearing for three rounds doesn't convince me. This will be a hard fight for Couture, but I suspect he'll be a bit more relaxed than Lesnar so if someone is going to gas, I'd pick Lesnar.

    We'll see though. Go Randy.
