You may hate or love pbf, but among the reasons why he was pushing for the random drug testing against pac, the reason that sticked to me was that he wanted a cleaner sport. this, i think was the only reason that made sense.

Now, i disagree that pbf demanded that from pac. i disagree that he was insisting on something that was above and beyond what the nevada state athletic commision warranted.

but i think his reason made a lot of sense. so in saying that, we as boxing fans should start demanding the same kind of testing for more and more fight. we cans start it with demanding random drug testing for championship fights till random drug testing becomes the norm.

we all could benefit for a cleaner sport. we hated margo when he was caught padding his gloves and we should all be given the chance to hate on any boxer who chose to cheat by taking steroids.

my point is that it should not only come from one man, specially when that man's father accused the would-be opponent of doping.

if pbf wants change in boxing, then he should take steps to make random blood testing the norm and not just a rewuirement for his fights. people say that there are lots of steroids/peds that are not traceable in urine. then i ask, why are we still using urine tests if they are already obsolete? why not use blood tests if they are really proven to trace PEDs better than urine.

again, i agree with pbf with what he wants, not with the way he demaded it.

there are only two options here. do random blood tests for everyone and stopt doings tests entirely and legalize PEDs and HGHs. the former makes more sense to me

Given Mayweather's rep, I doubt that is his intention.

Don't give in to his "I-want-the-sports-to-be-clean -and-this-request-for-Pac-to-undergo-an-unprecented-random-blood-test-is-just-a-start-for-this-unselfish-act" gimmick.

You know very well it is all big horse****.

i'm not. i also have my doubts about his integrity but random drug testing makes sense. sure, the nevada comission only demands random urin sampling but from what i've learned throughout this whole saga, there are peds that only stay in your system for only 2-4 days and that there are peds and hghs that do not show up in urine test.

i think we owe it to the sport to make new rules. rules have to adjust with the times. again, his method is selfish but pbf's claim made sense.

GBP was entirely behind it, so why don't they start a movement of only allowing other fighters to fight theirs if both parties underrandom drug testing?

Better drug testing for all pro boxers makes sense. But only a fool would think that is Floyd's main agenda given what his father has been saying. If the Mayweather's want permanent change why haven't they approached the Nevada State Athletic Commision on these so called "improvements"? The NSAC already said they are open to the idea and welcome a 3rd party (like the USADA) to assist them in further drug testing beyond their protocols.

It's never been about drug testing, it's Void's fear.

that's exactly what i'm saying. pbf may or may not have been serious about cleaning up the sport. others say he did this to duck pac and others say he was only playing mind games but it's all beside the point.

urine testing has been proven to not detect other peds and hghs. so why still only use urine testing? atheltic commisions from all states should start requiring random blood tests.

and as i said, since GBP was entirely behind pbf on this one, they should not have promote a single fight wherein both fighters did not have random blood testing.

it would be hypocritical if they're behind pbf on this issue against pac then not care about the issue at all for their other fighters. if they think urine testing is weak, then they should start lobbying for commisions to use random blood testing.

Dude when that happens, I'm wondering, who would shoulder the expense for these tests? what will happen to the small time promoters and it's boxers if it becomes a rule? Surely, GBP & Top Rank could afford it, but how about the others? I think there will be a lot of debate for this to be implemented, it's good but it would cause a major change and problem for the whole sport.

that's why i think it should trinlke down. may be start from championship fights. i know it's a long shot but the abc organizations could chip in deducting the sanctioning price for world title fights to shoulder the testing fees.

boxing is a dangerous sport as it is. we don't need cheating *******s. lives are literally at stake here. something must be done
