HGH is a protein that stimulates the body cells to increase both in size, as well as undergo more rapid cell division than usual. In addition, it enhances the movement of amino acids through cell membranes and also increases the rate at which these cells convert these molecules into proteins. Clearly, you can see that this would amount to an anabolic (muscle building) effect in the human body. HGH also has the ability to cause cells to decrease the normal rate at which they utilize carbohydrates, and simultaneously increase the rate at which they use fats.(1) Fat loss and lean mass increases with HGH have been found at a dose as low as . 0.028 iu/kg/daily for

    (4),
however, in my estimation, that would be insufficient for a bodybuilder trying to gain muscle. Let´s use .028iu/kg as a working number; that´s 2.8iu for a 100kg (220lbs) bodybuilder. That´s certainly not unreasonable, and I would say that that dose to 2x that dose is the range most bodybuilders and athletes are finding their best results with. Also, that length of time used in the study I just mentioned (24 weeks) is very typical of HGH use, and in conversations with my friends who have used this compound, have told me that they experience consistent

(if they have sufficient funds). One of my friends is able to consistently retain a shredded 6-7% body fat all year round with the assistance of HGH, whether he is on steroids or off. He also has noted that his cardio (fast walking, for an hour a day) was much easier while on HGH than when off, and certainly the research I´ve done would support his claim that sub maximal aerobic ability is improved with HGH use (5) (15).

    :lol::rofl

Those two never failed a test. Their blood was found and matched by DNA when a lab in Spain was raided. They're guilty by association, not by actually failing a blood test.

like i said in another thread, the Pac haters are oblivious to any information that doesn't make Pac look bad. Its like it can't register in their brains.

Good find. However, the article states that the method has yet to be approved by governing bodies or U.S. Pro leagues. I hope they implement it if it's so effective as the developers claim.

So I started thinking... Do the *******s have a point? Urine or Blood? I came to the conclusion, none of us really know what "Olympic" style drug testing REALLY is! I looked it up. Olympic style drug testing is a COMBINATION of urine and/or blood, i.e., a "sample"!

The testing is about the protocol not the "sample", blood or urine. You guys are defending Pac about blood sampling when blood sampling is only a portion of the overall testing protocol. It also may not be taken EVERY time. The important thing is being RANDOM with no cut off dates!

Again, you *******s are out of ammo. You keep making this a blood issue when in truth it ISN'T. Don't take my word for it read it on the IOC's docs! Pay special attention to appendixes 1 and 3.

You, like everyone else, are full of it. You don't even know what Olympic drug testing is. I found out and it blows everything Pac said out of the water.

Why do you keep focusing on a specific substance? Testing is to cover as much as possible. You don't go to test and then say you can test for X, Y, and Z. You take SAMPLES. Different samples are tested differently for different things.

Stating a substance then saying there is a test for it is idiotic. It is not Team Mayweather's job to guess the specific substance.

Case in point what? You keep harping on blood. That isn't even what it is. It is BIOLOGICAL SAMPLES. They can take, theoretically, anything.

"Biological samples, including urine and blood, will be collected from selected Athletes ..."

Notice they don't say "limited to..."

Hey, it's not my fault cycling has tougher testing methods than most sports. Boxing should take note.

    Cycling have tougher test.
    :rofl:rofl:rofl:rofl

Cycling still doing blood transfusion only shows how far behind some of the 3rd world cyclist are. Athletes don't re-inject blood very much anymore. Instead, cheating athletes will inject genetically engineered drugs which cause the body to create extra red blood cells. The most common type of blood doping chemical used is called EPO - which is used to treat patients who have kidney disease.

"Blood doping is the process of artificially increasing the amount of red blood cells in the body in an attempt to improve athletic performance. In the past this was accomplished by transfusion. The athlete would “donate” a unit of blood into storage and then 3 weeks later, after the body had completely replaced the blood loss, transfuse the unit back into the body. This would occur just before a big race, effectively giving the athlete an “extra” unit of blood. This enables performance improvements in endurance sports because of the extra oxygen carrying capacity.

Fortunately, testing technology has now caught up and promises to stem the tide of abuse. There is now an accurate urine test that can detect the differences between normal and synthetic EPO. This test is now the standard and was the sole means to detect for EPO use in the 2004 Athens Olympic Games. The reliability of this test helps explain the cascade of athletes who have been caught and, subsequently, banned from competition. This surge in positive tests will likely decline as the “word” gets out and EPO use declines -- at least until someone figures out a work-around. Of course, there is always the next great pharmacologic or genetic cheat just lurking around the corner to consider. "
