I’d put Gonzaga high up there too. He was viewed as a boogeyman after he KO’d Crocop. Couture at 46 took his best strikes flush and beat the **** out of him.

The Liddell 1 and Sylvia were incredible performances, he beat them both on the feet and on the ground. The Gonzaga performance was great too.

The second win over Pedro Rizzo fight is up there is well.In my humble opinion the Tito Ortiz fight was his peak performance.Couture was the best underdog in mma history. He dominated many fights as the betting underdog,Belfort 1,Liddell 1,Ortiz,Sylvia,Gonzaga,Randleman.Pretty much all the fights you guys mentioned,he wasn’t favoured to win those fights.

None of those guys would be champs in today`s UFC, MMA has improved drastically since Randy was champ.

Tito Ortiz vs Elvis Sinosic for the ufc title and Top contender Chuck Liddell fighting Vernon White proves your point.I think we all know that mma is a lot better now.
