Yeah guys, I guess Randy is deserving to have the title of being a geat athlete. He shows a lot of characteristics of being a great athlete, actually I just nominate him for ESPN contest called "Who's Now" where peope can nominate their greatest athlete. I guess it's time to include and to give credits to some MMA fighters. http://sports.espn.go.com/espn/page2/story?page=whosnow/070611
Well since this is an American magazine its very American centralized most non-Americans would never have heard of a single person on that list except Federer,Becham,Ronaldhino and Sharapova. The inclusion of Sharapova is clearly due to poularity, she is no where near the best female tennis player in the world, that would go to justine henin hardenne, since henin isn't as blonde tall or good looking enough, she can't make the list. Again it has david beckham as the best 'soccer' player? despite the fact hes past it and is going to the US to play of his final days and get a load of money..........? He is no where near the best player in Spain or Britain nevermind the whole planet, but ESPN put him down for the sheer fact that he will be very famous when he comes to America! dumb.
Why I might not call Beckham the best player in the world this last season is Spain he has proved that he certainly isn't past it. He found his form again this year and proved that he is still a great player.
COOL! I did too... Co'z I guess it's about time that a MMA fighter should be included on that list. And yes! lots of people says that it is a popularity contest, but people can do something about it.
Is there any other MMA fighter to be included on the list of ESPN's "Who's Now" side from Couture? They said Fedor should be included too, but i guess Couture had accomplished a lot than any other fighters. So who do you think should be included?
