If I ever get arrested, I want Randy to represent me in court. The man simply does not know how to say anything but the proper thing.
That's true. I don't know what to make of this but, if Couture says it's alright, it's probably alright...
Yeah, and this would be a great fight for him as well. Not "great" in the sense of "competitive" or anything like that, but he would get another easy fight against an overmatched opponent, he'd get to add to his legacy as the guy that showed that champion boxers get crushed by champion mma guys, he'd get to have another big promotion etc. He really can't lose (literally and figuratively) and if he's not going to chase title shots then this is exactly what he can shoot for.
Hendo is the same. I watched the DVD of Rampage/Liddell 2 last night and had to giggle when Rogan interviewed Hendo in the ring about his upcoming fight with Rampage. "We're friends, in this sport and in life, and it's good when you can make money with your friends." Whattaguy...
You guys bore me... please refer to my other posts on Toney's chances in the UFC. He's going to be more than competitive there. Do your research and look at some film. This is not some 50 something retired boxer who's coming back after years of inactivity. This is a guy who, while older, is still an active, world class boxer who has adapted to fighting in 5 different weight classes . He has never been knocked out, he's got power, and he's very, VERY intelligent.:bbb
I've read your other posts and you're 100% wrong. He will not be competitive at all. He is way past his prime with a style that depended on reflexes. His reflexes are now so bad that he got caught by Sam Peter's lighting punches over and over in their second fight. The "fighting that he's adapted to 5 different weight classes" is successful strictly because of the rules of boxing that allow him to turn and use his shoulder. This would be a terrible technique against a kickboxer who can use leg kicks, much less a wrestler who is looking for a single leg takedown. Also, even at middleweight he was never a one punch guy. Like he said when promoting the Holyfield fight, "I'm the best puncher he's ever faced; not the hardest, but the best". He's incredibly accurate and in his prime had great timing, but never huge power. When he stopped guys it was from accumulation (apart from maybe the Nunn fight). As for his "intelligence", unless he's going to use it to invent a time machine to go back in time and begin to learn kickboxing and grappling (or at least another style of boxing) then it won't do him any good at all. I doubt he'll last past two fights. Note: I do think that there could be successful transitions of boxing styles to mma, but it would be more like the Hatton style or Trinidad style than the very specialized Toney or PBF styles.
