    I don't think he gives a ****.

But if I had to FYP, it'd look something like this:

"really bad first fight for Toney. White really is trying to make this moron, who happened to be a boxer, who talked a bunch of trash and thinks our sport is a joke, look bad."

    See what I did there?

    Nope.

White is taking it easy on him, seeing as how Toney is calling out Lesnar...

The obvious first fight for James Toney in the UFC would be the Kimbo-Mitrione winner imo. If he were to get through that then line him up with the ancient Couture.

It makes sense. I doubt that Dana wants to take the risk of Toney losing to some C-level MMA fighter, and never getting to cash in on Toney's name. Couture vs Toney would sell HUGE. Of course, Couture should maul him. However, with Randy's movement being as lethargic as it as been lately on his feet. He could have some seriously dangerous moments against Toney. I also wouldn't really like to see Randy do his press up against the cage on the feet mauling. Toney rips some nasty uppercuts and hooks from close quarters if given a little space. Randy should SHOOT, not clinch, and get this on the ground every chance he gets. Should only take one time.

+1 Randy only loses this fight if he respects Toney's mma game too much. Sure he might not have the best double in MMA and he might be better taking down or dirty boxing in the clinch, but he needs to realize that any even mediocre wrestler will probably be able to get a good double on Toney easily. Randy doesn't need to try to strike his way into the clinch and get a trip or throw from there, he just needs to shoot in real low and grab a leg, after that he probably has Toney down less than 3 seconds later and the fight is over.

He should absolutely respect the striking of Toney, but it would be a huge mistake to over respect Toney's overall game. He may have to strike a bit to get a good clinch on Tito or Chuck or Sylvia but not with Toney. He needs to get low and grab a leg and simply avoid the standup altogether.

This is just rubbish. Im pretty sure Fedor could make 205 if he wanted to but its a semantic debate. Toney is a natural 200lb dude end of story. If you think making 205 at 41 years of age is just a matter of loosing some fat then you're dillusional.

Thats crap. Im a 240lb dude who knows what its like to make 200lbs. That **** is not fun. Toney could make 160lbs. **** it he could probably make 140lbs. Would it be healthy no. Will he be able to function at the weight effectively more than likely not. The guy is 41 not 20. You've said this same crap before about Fedor complaining about his lack of hardness. Your body matures immensely as you reach you're 30's onwards. Maybe Toney could make 205 but it wont make a blind bit of difference to his figthing ability and will probably make him even more ineffective.

yea i agree with that. I just think if they wanted to build him up, they would have matched him with someone like the winner of mitrone/kimbo which is more winnable based on styles.

James Toney isn't a 240pound man. Naturally, with eating and training right he is probably 160 to 175 pounds. He's only ever moved up in weight out of lack of discipline.

Fedor is fat and if he ate and trained right he'd lose the weight too. Fedor in truth is probably a 205 fighter. I have no doubt that if he didn't have that fat he could be 215 pounds and easily cut 10 pounds.

Your metabolism does slow down as you get older but unless there is a medical reason 99.9% of people would have low body fat out of training and eating right.

The lower in weight Toney gets the faster, sharper and fitter he becomes. 230 Toney is inferior to 215 Toney and the 215 Toney is inferior to a 190 pound Toney. The only time Toney losing weight is detrimental is when he cuts weight like he did for the Jones fight.

Toney doesn't eat or train right. That is and always will be his problem.

I don't apologise for these guys. I expect more from them. So should you. I'm not asking them to walk on water BUT any fighter who trains and eats like an athlete should will have low body fat.

Exactly. Naturally big guys don't make 157 pounds while being muscled!

Toney is a fat **** who is not dedicated to training his body. Surely we can all agree to that.

This is the WORST idea ever. It's like putting someone who has never boxed before in with Bernard Hopkins for his first fight - Couture has so much experience and such a skillset that he is going to completely humiliate Toney. Dana is going to have to bear the brunt of the "freakshow" jibes after this, and it's his own fault.
