What do you guys think of this match up? Who wins?

Couture is 17-10. Coleman is 16-9. Both are old guys who are still fighting at a fairly high level.

Right now Randy wins, he is just the better mma fighter. He could outstrike, or like be did with VanAdsdale, who is a very skilled grappler, outgrapple. Prime for prime is interesting.

Randy is old. Decent fight for him.

This is the type of fight Dana would like for Randy to take at the moment.

Does Randy do anything anymore except clinch and hold his opponent against the cage? He only threw in the third round against Vera.

I would like to see Couture give it up. He's far to slow and predictable. Would hate to see some thing bad happen to him inside the cage.

Couture can still fight so if he wants to fight and still can that STFU and let him. G.A.V it was apart of him gameplan agianst Vera and that was mostly it although im sure he expected more then just a brief takedown in the 1st round, when Couture let go with combos, dirty boxing, those great elbows in the 3rd he looked solid and its what won him the round IMO regardless of Vera's brief control. Achilles he is 46 and has been old for years and years we all know that but its not about how old you are its about how young you feel I doubt Couture feels anywhere near 50. Coleman isnt Vera and you would see that in Randy's approach because he would light him up in the standup cause Coleman is awful there.

I would like to see this fight now, but I really wanted a few years back. Coleman could take Couture down a few years ago, and Couture would have been forced to work off his back. That was a big Mark Coleman, who was probably juicing.

It's still a decent fight now, but I would have to favor Couture. Couture will most likely control the clinch, and stand-up for that matter, but it will be very interesting if Coleman can take this fight to the ground.

Mark is finished. He only fights on fumes now. Its sad to see what he's become now in comparison to his prime but the fat lady is screaming very loudly. Id prefer not to see Mark humilated anymore espcially not down at 205 as he has no business there.

WTF are you are talking about? Mark just beat Stephan Bonnar and went life and death with Shogun who knocked out Lidell and who many feel should have got the dec over Machida. Coleman is still very strong and his wrestling would give anyone fits at 205.

Couture is old, just like Hopkins. Both have slowed down. They just became smarter, look after their body better, improve their skills etc

The fight versus Vera was a true smart old man fight.

Randy doesn't have a legendary chin but every time Nog landed I felt uneasy.

his wrestling would give anyone fits, for 12 seconds. After that, he is gassed.

Considering Coleman didn't come close to gassing in his last fight, I take it yall haven't even seen Coleman/Bonnar, in which case you should STFU and search for it on google vid. Otherwise your posts should have more to them than misguided bull****.

I might not have 18,000 posts but I know what I'm talking about.

He did gas, and he is clearly not nearly what he once was, but the guy makes a point, even a gassed, old, and weaker Coleman can take down most 205er's.
