Err, are you telling me that you believe Sylvia would beat Mark Hunt?

Do I also have to point out that Ricco beat Couture, AND that Barnett owned Couture?

To me the whole Couture deserves to be the top ranked guy is actually a bit flattering for American fans, but I think it has more to do with people being in love with Captain America, loving the fact that he beat Sylvia and is a great guy.. I like him too! I'm just trying to be honest.

Monson is a world class grappler that is it. His got fairly good BJJ and that is it.Nothing more or less. Monson is a very short heavy who is not particularly fast and does nothing exceptionally. Randy i believe at this stage should beat him as he has better hands and possibly better wrestling skills but he would still have his hands full.

Either way people need to get off Randys jock. Randy beat up 2 fairly average fighters. Exceptional for a 44 year old man yes. Enough to make him the best in the world HELL NO.

Randy wouldn't beat monson as easily as sylvia did as syles make fights, i think sergi k or aleks would both be very hard fights for randy as would josh barnett and big nog.

Totally agree. Monson could not be bullied by Randy and his centre of gravity and natural strength coupled with his wrestling would make him hard work.BUT Randy could still outbox him quite easily.Monsons hands are poor aswell as his speed. As for Barnett and Nog both beat Randy with ease imo.

The reason Randys at the top of the division is cuz he beat Gonzaga and Sylvia. Gonzaga got the title shot cuz he beat Cro cop, Fedor already beat Cro cop and Sylvias record is not good enough to really match all the fighters Fedors beat. So objectively speaking, Fedor is #1.

A fighter's overall record is a major factor in determining rankings; this is not some magic formula that I've solely devised.

The thing about Fedor is that he is practically undefeated. I wouldn't count that cut caused by an elbow a defeat- it looked more like a no contest to me (speaking in boxing terms).

I'm saying its a hell of a lot harder to beat Sylvia than it is Hunt.

your going to rank randy higher then fedor because fedors last opponent isn't as good as randys last opponent? Thats silly. In his career fedor beat better fighters and never lost no way randy is ranked higher.

He's talking about recent accomplishments. Not overall.

In general yea Sylvia is a bad match for most people. But technically speaking he was a good match up for Couture and Couture knew all the holes in Sylvia's game(they trained together).

In boxing terms that would have been a win by DQ for Fedor.
