    Round 4

Petalcorin is walking Tello down, throwing big combinations. 1-2s and big sweeping right hooks from Petalcorin either miss or graze the back of Tello as he ducks and dips. Overhand left by Tello after they nestle in close and have a break ordered. Light right jab tripled by Tello, backing Petalcorin up but not landing. Petalcorin steps in and lands a short right jab on the nose and steps back as Tello counters with a rolling fist-over-fist combo. Long overhand left by Tello, picked off easily at range by Petalcorin with his right glove. Long combinations on the body by Petalcorin, drifting back into the ropes as Tello launches big overhand left counters into the air. Petalcorin is staying on the outside and shooting the jab into Tello's face. Tello is too far away to counter and too slow of foot to avoid the shots, though he is still leaning in attempts to slip them.

    10-9 Petalcorin

    Round 5

Petalcorin is throwing hard power combos on the front-foot, catching Tello before he can navigate the corners. Right jab, left cross, right hook connects as Tello is crouching and flailing his upper body in a corner, each movement timed just unluckily enough to coincide with the arrival of Petalcorin's fist. Petalcorin is getting into an offensive rhythm now and chasing Tello around.

    10-9 Petalcorin

    50-45 Petalcorin

    Round 6

Tello is sliding in and out of the orthodox stance, flicking up jabs with either hand from the corresponding hip. Petalcorin is mastering distance, lowering each shoulder a few inches by turn staying in a weaving rhythm, planting long right jabs on Tello's face and repositioning when Tello begins to catapult himself in low in a possible Trojan horse attempt to either land some body shots or tie up.

    10-9 Petalcorin

    60-54 Petalcorin

    Round 7

Petalcorin chases Tello with the right jab, keeping him at exactly the range he wants, finding him no matter whether he is ducking or leaning - both of which are becoming increasingly difficult for the Panamanian as his legs begin to balk at the demands of staying constantly bent and in motion. Tello backhands a left jab, does a quick spin to reset as southpaw, and flicks up a right jab sidling backward, his body pointed to his left. Petalcorin catches him with his feet crossed with a right hook and loops in a hidden left from below on the cheek - Tello down! He gets up but is quickly waved off. Tello is furious. Petalcorin has already begun celebrating.

    TKO7!!

I'm impressed by Petalcorin. He will probably get a fight against Rossel for the full title on the PAC card from what I've been reading.

    :nod

It was a good performance, especially given Tello's defensive trickery. He was obviously here intending just to survive, and the fact that Petalcorin closed the show (questionable stoppage or not, Petalcorin ramped it up from the 4th onward and did wear Tello down) is a positive takeaway.

I'd have to favor him over Rossell, given how each dealt with their common opponent. (Rossell vs. Tello was actually very close)
