Just watched an old recording of Tony in his prime, and its superb entertainment and he is a genius, but I had to admit his fighting style is totally unrealistic. he fights like he is exploiting every loophole in the boxing rulebook. I would love it if he won though.

So Mercer just decided to stand against the cage while Kimbo hits nothing but forearms and gloves? You honestly think Mercer couldnt have put Kimbo out with one shot while Kimbo was landing nothing of consequence for half a minute?

Then at the conclusion of the fight Mercer appeared so pissed off that he was about to crack Kimbo over the head with his fist.

So why would Mercer not take out Kimbo when he EASILY could have in their exchanges, why did Mercer throw virtually nothing?

And why was he so pissed after the fight? Was their a gentlemans agreement like Mercer claims?

Mercer puts Sylvias lights out in 9 seconds but just sits there while Kimbo punches himself out after landing NOTHING.

People are just dumb. I cant get over how people think that EXHIBITION is a legit fight. Not only is it an exhibition but the organization that staged the fight is so low-class it should be a dead giveaway.

I'd be mad too if I got submitted by Kimbo Slice. That's just plain sad...worse then that, actually.

Why are your loyalties torn? I am too when surely I should be supporting Randy 100%. I found the same with Rampage and Rashad.

I think its worse that an organization had to lie to a 47 year old past his prime, shot boxer. At least Mercer got what he wanted....a paycheque.

Mercer realized im not waiting anymore, im just going to put their lights out in a matter of seconds ie. Sylvia.

Took you awhile to come up with that, huh?

Unless you can absolutely prove, beyond any doubt (at least reasonable) that Mercer was explicitly told that it was going to be a stand up exhibition fight AND (and this also must hold true) that Ferguson (Slice) was told the exact same thing but choose to act otherwise (which seems to falisfy what you're saying entirely).

You're seeking excuses and when you can't find them you make them up. When you're wrong, just say you're wrong. There is no shame in not knowing. None whatsoever. What is embarassing to the highest degree is being wrong, being shown clearly that you are wrong yet refusing to adapt to new information and evidence. That, purely and simply, is delusion.

Okay, well Liddell KO'd Couture and Toney with the smaller gloves might just have 1 punch KO power. Even if he doesn't, one punch could start the beginning of the end for Randy if he gets caught.

I still favor Randy since he's obviously the better overall fighter and he's fairly well rounded while Toney is, well round. :yep

Randy doesn't have to do anything. He was always very respectful of boxing and never once dared that he could hang with even a journeyman. Whereas Toney thought he could step into another man's game and win it easily. Couture showed great respect in the post fight interview, and he should not lower himself like Toney did by taking a beating for no reason.

So if by 'courage' you mean lack of respect and stupidity, then I don't suppose we will be seeing Randy in boxing any time soon.
