Definitely. Look at his achievements in a time when racial prejudice was rife. Any suggestions as to who would play him ?

i think a film about turpin would be cool but his brothers would have to share some of limelight

mind you a short film of why turpinr got banned and his reaction would also be woth a watch it may even register on a certain scale oh i would say about 8.9

I do not think it would be in that good of taste at the moment, there are still people alive who do not need certain events put on the silver screen yet.

50 years down the road, it maybe viable.

There is a book about Jack turpin, its a fantastic book. The guy who wrote it did such a great job because most of it is taken from interviews so its actualy jackie talking. you totaly get the humour and family expresions, the randy turpin story from his viewpoint as an older man is priceless.

Any film would have to include the family dynamic, the friction between the women and the whole thing of being a mixed race family during that time in working class england. It was a true fighting family in every sence of the word.

Jack was no doubt wild himself as a yougster but comes across as a wiser put upon brother of a close set of brothers. Jack didnt quite make the grade himself as a fighter but was posibly more stable as a person and had a far longer full time career that either Dick or Randy who he sparred with and traveled with.

The whole family sound like such characters but if there was a film on turpin it should come from the jack turpin veiwpoint as an old man looking back, just like the book is.
