That made up for the short fights. I'm pretty sure it can be called a classic. It was THAT good. A shame is wasn't 5 rounds.

    I liked the stand-up quite a bit.

With the way the action was, but only a 3 round fight, can be put up there for fight of the year. Back and forth...not bombs away, but smart ground fighting and stand up.

Classic fight between 2 of the best ever. Not to brag but the last week LOTS of people here said the fight would such because 1 they are shot and 2 they are stylistically bad for each other and would create a boring fight. I said this could turn out just like a Wanderlei vs Liddell or Ali-Fraizer III type fight and it did. One of the best fights ive ever seen in the Heavyweight divison.

I have an excuse though, I never knew that Nog was hospital sick before the Mir fight.

As I was watching tonights fight, I was like wait a minute somethings not right here, Randys 10 times the striker Frank is and Nog is taking his bombs.

Great fight glad Nog won..its the undercard that was shitty in this card, how ironic.
BTW Id keep a close eye on this aaron guy who fought Herman, the guys a serious athlete.

Mirs striking has improved just watch the technique its very fluid and sharp. Anyways though its pretty hard to take a clean shot from anyone with a knee injury and a staff infection in the other leg that left him in the hospital and maybe that explains him being flabby in that fight, not enough training time possibly ? I want a rematch I know it was one sided but Nogueira is the kinda guy and maybe the only guy who can get his ass kicked like that but have legitmate reason for a rematch.

I was certain it was over when Nog sunk in the darce choke, but with Randy's patience and stamina, it was only a matter of time before Nog had to let it go. Had he got it sunk in on his knees instead of his back, he might've finished it off.

Either way, for the sake of a good cliche, you can't measure heart - and these two have all the heart in the world. Champions by the very definition of the word.

Thats what I was thinking had he finished it on his knees ala Pulver vs Cub Swanson he would likely have had more pressure on the choke. Well not really on his knees you wanna keep you knees off that mat to get more pressure on the choke but obviously you get where im going.
