    I think that the money situation, and the paychecks than an underperforming Cro-Cop was making... along with the huge offers to Fedor was the final nail in the coffin.

    I think that he talked about money so much, because he was just defending his position on the money issue. Clearly, he just feels disrespected by the company.

    Exactly. In business the amount of money you are offered and paid is, sometimes, a show of respect and appreciation. The fact that he wasn't being paid what others were was taken as a showing of disrespect and underappreciation. I understand it, I'm sure anyone else with 1/2 a brain does as well.

    For Example:
    If Couture was the highest paid fighter in the UFC.....making $500K a fight (I know its not accurate)
    Say the 2nd highest paid fighter made $300K, and after than it declines by each fighter.
    Couture would feel like he is being held in very high regard and he would feel very respected and appreciated by the UFC. In this circumstance, even if K-1 offered him $550K a fight, which is an additional $50k per fight, he would mos likely stay with the UFC.

    That is what he means by "its not about the money"
