Ganoy will be facing Julio "The Kidd" Diaz in an IBF eliminator. There are 3 possible venues - South Africa, Canada or New Mexico. October 31st in New Mexico is the most likely. The Bout is just waiting on getting IBF approval before being signed. Stay tuned. As I stated a while back, Diaz's with Ray Narh was shakey.
Here is Ganoy training. A huge step up for R.G. I got Diaz by TKO or points .. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Ihlm4NmcYOU
At least he's getting an opportunity and that's all most fighters want. Essentially he brings the same things to the table that Katsidis does, as well as having a Pinoy support that promoters love at the moment.
I'm glad he has got the opportunity, seen him fight a few times and he never disappoints. Good luck to him.
ranoy is a live underdog in this one, the guy can certainly bang, he should get a good pay out of it aswell.... essentially he did give katsidis a very hard fight, and i reckon ganoy wasnt half the fighter he is now, was always capable because of power but coming into australia he wouldnt of trained much, and prob wouldnt of been looked after aswell as he is now....
i gotta be honest and say i have seen **** all of Ganoy but his defence seams pretty bad, i hope his chin is good. ill still back him, all the way, and would be great to see him get on the world stage
He is getting good training, good manager and importantly is properly fed. He would have been a strugglin, starving and unskilled boxer over in Philly. I don't think he ever woke up eating cereal and bacon and egg is a luxury over there. Buh, you know he didn't have amateur experience and basically learnt on the fly. I think if he did have amateur experience under his belt and good trainer. I reckon he would be better than what he is. Still Diaz via KO. far to too skilled and experience for R.G.
