I think Dirrell could still make some noise in the tourney, but he is up against it because he loses a tie breaker to Froch.

Abraham is top of the tree. The best performance and the most purposeful - and he didn't need to hold to stop his opponent firing back at him.

Is everyone actually answering this question? How people can have Dirrell with the third best chance is beyond me.

To have any chance of winning the tournament you first have to qualify for the next round. Dirrell has a loss, Froch has a tie breaker against him and Dirrell has to fight the two fighters who nearly everyone is ranking one and two.

The people giving Dirrell third best chance of winning the tournament need to specify how they see him qualifying. Is he going to beat both Abraham and Ward? Or is he going to knock one of them out? He probably needs to do one of those two things. The only other way he can qualify is if Taylor and Kessler both lose their next fights and then there is no stoppage in the fight between them. Even then Dirrell needs a tie breaker.

Ward - best boxing skills of anyone, big and strong
Abraham - it was tough to place him second
Froch - tough, gutsy, determined. gonna give anyone a go but IMO not skilled enough to win it all
Kessler - could come back and place 3rd
Dirrell - mad skills but not enough confidence at this stage of career
Taylor - should drop out, one more strong KO & he could be hurt for life

I live in Arkansas, kind of reluctant to place JT at the bottom but it is what it is.
Froch and AA do have the KO advantage but I think Ward will gain one also, big momentum from the K fight

    1. Abraham
    2. Ward
    3. Dirrell
    4. Froch
    5. Taylor
    6. Kessler

You have to put Abraham first because he controlled his fight comfortably then delivered the spectacular KO.

    1. Abraham
    2. Ward
    3. Dirrell
    4. Froch
    5. Kessler
    6. Taylor

Though I could probably be convinced that Ward could make the top spot, and Dirrell could make second.

The bottom 3 i'm set on.

Good analysis although Froch is orthodox, not southpaw.
