In terms of who has the best chance of winning, I have to give it to Ward. He beat the consensus favorite in the tournament, hence me giving him the edge to win it all. Plus Ward never has to fight Abraham, who I think is easily the second-best fighter in the table.

    1. Ward - the kid is a beast
    2. Abraham - can't beat a guy that won't fight him, but he'll do fine against anybody who stands and trades. he also can't beat what he can't hit.
    3. Kessler - still has a chance to make it to the semi-finals
    4. Froch - he'll lose in the semi-finals
    5. Dirrell - he should be higher, but he won't make the cut because he lost to Froch. must KO Taylor to advance (I guess that's possible)
    6. Taylor - next opponents are Kessler and Dirrell. he's screwed. maybe he can eeek out a points win over Dirrell.

Dirrell and Taylor aren't fighting. Dirrell is fighting Abraham then Ward. Taylor is fighting Ward then Kessler.

Dirrell would need to ko either Abraham or Ward, or beat them both by decision, just to finish above Froch in the round robin. Which one of those scenarios is it that you are predicting?

I wouldnt be surprised if he beat both of them by decision. It's a long shto admittedly, but I wouldnt rule it out.

I like his chances better against Ward to be honest, I think he can box with him. But I can see how he might be able to outpoint Abraham even if I don't necessarily see it happening. He'd have to shut Abraham out, who is a slow starter, for the 1st 4 rounds to make it work, and hold on(literally) for dear life.

Abrahams fight with Dirrell will show how he can deal with a herky jerky style. If Dirrell wins clearly, Ward should have good arguments to win too.

However, since Abraham will KO Froch, he ends up with 6 points anyway, and regarding the leader board, Dirrell and Ward cannot both be higher than him in the end since they fight each other. And one thing is for certain, Ward won't "school" Abraham, the best he can think of is outsmarting and outhustling him with a negative fight winning a decision. Up to this point, noone ever "schooled" Abraham in anything, and Taylor was said to "easily" do that.

AA would be hard to school. He has a very disciplined defense and any fight with will be a battle of attrition.
