Rank them in order for all time(If the 3 guys called it a career tomorrow, how would you rank those 3)

I find it hard to do because you could argue that the 3rd guy is the first in reality and in my opinion it all come down to an opinion and not really facts.

    Anyway for me its
    Jackson
    Liddell
    W.Silva

Liddell has to be ranked on top, at least if you consider what he did for the sport. He more than anyone else moving it from a fringe sport to the mainstream. Talent wise it's a though call. I'm one who beleives that whenn two fighters of comparable skills fight, either one could win on any given night. Meaning the outcome of a particular fight, doesn't tell the whole story.

I agree thats the current ranking of the guys but at their best I MIGHT be tempted to put Silva at the top of that list, thats might, very very hard question.

I personally think Shogun Rua will have surpassed all 3 in greatness if he keeps his stamina in check.

The weird thing is, I think Rampage would always beat Chuck stylewise at their best but would always lose to Silva at their best.

I like Chucks chances vs Silva prime for prime stylewise but Silva still showed me enough in their match to tell me they would split fights.

You cant judge a fighters greatness on his ability/inability to deal with just 1 style, thats unfair, so with that in mind... my ATG ranking of these 3 THUS FAR (remember Rampage is still going strong & young enough) is as follows.....

Silva (His domination over 5/6 yrs vs prides best + how devastating he looked at his peak is unrivalled IMO)

Liddell (He was to UFC what Silva was to pride, a monster destroyer, only thing is he lost a couple of times during his peak run to Couture & Rampage, nothing wrong with that but its the only way to split him & Silva)

Jackson (1 of the best around, beat some terriffic fighters, time will tell)

I tend to disagree with that, even though it's one of Dana's favourite lines. Sure Chuck was dominating during his peak but so was Matt Hughes during his, so why does Chuck take the sport into the mainstream?

The dude doesn't really have much of a personality and is hardly legible in his interviews, most of the time sounds drunk.

If anyone brought MMA into the mainstream it was Tito.

Sorry but I had to get that off my chest, anyhow here's my list-

    1. Liddell
    2. Silva
    3. Jackson

    Silva
    chuck
    jackson
jackson of course has the only chance of the 3 to build a better legacy so he could pass both in time.

Yeah Rampage never seem to have a long streak like the other two, but he will have a much longer sucessfull career with his style. But he will never look as dominant as the other two did when they were on fire.

Well, he won't have the chance really. Unless he manages to get the UFC title and defend it against all comers which is unlikely from anyone at the moment. Then again Wandy and Chuck didn't beat fighters the calibre of the guys currently around in the LHW.

Rampage has time to build his legacy though. The other two are finished.

Its a shame but true, that must be why they both looked great about 3 fights back, coz they fought each other.

I think the new gen is gonna be a battle between Shogun, Rampage & Machida, I dont rate Evans as high as some do but maybe thats because his style bores me, we will find out a lot more when he faces Machida.

Yep I agree. But I also think that should Evans lose to Machida, he won't go anywhere, and he is dangerous for anyone in the division.

I can't wait for Rampage's and Shogun's next fights. Big fan of both and I feel should they fight again, Rampage would do much better than before. May not win, but will do better.

Liddell's resume speaks for itself......opposition fought and wins over the bet of the division...
