Since there has been alot of talk about Manny being a Top 25 ATG, I thought I would go back just to 1985 and pick some big names of that span and get your thoughts as to where you would put Manny on just this list:

    Marvin Hagler
    Sugar Ray Leonard
    Aaron Pryor
    Alexis Arguello
    Mike Tyson
    Pipino Cuevas
    Roberto Duran
    Eric Morales
    Evander Holyfield
    Azumah Nelson
    Julio Cesar Chavez
    Pernell Whitaker
    Ricardo Lopez
    Roy Jones Jr.
    Felix Trinidad
    Kostya Tszyu
    Thomas Hearns
    Bernard Hopkins
    Lennox Lewis
    Shane Mosley
    Oscar De La Hoya
    Mark Johnson
    Stevie Johnston
    Michael Spinks
    Meldrick Taylor
    Wilfred Benitez
    Michael Nunn
    Larry Holmes
    Ronald Wright
    James Toney

This is only thirty names from the last twenty five years. I have more than could be debated but I want your thoughts on this list for now.

    Since 1985?

    #1

His only competitors are Whitaker, Chavez, Jones, Hopkins and Mayweather. You have to remember that Leonard and Hagler were already old and their careers were advanced.

The names are on the list because they fought in the last twenty-five years.
Compare their career to Manny's and give your thoughts and whether or not Manny would rank above them on your ATG list.

One notes the absense of the highly pertinent Floyd Mayweather Jnr.

The reason I excluded Floyd was because I didn't want a pissing match. I just wanted to have a legit discussion. Don't worry I will do one for Floyd too! You will like it.

Just so you know I don't have Floyd anywhere near the top either! People need to go back and look at the resume of some of these guys. Truly amazing who they fought and beat in their primes.:good

Hitman was a nightmare. The power, speed, and reach. Don't get me wrong Pac is a very good fighter but we all get a little shortsighted and forget how great past fighters were.

Hearns is one of the most fan-friendly fighters in history. Gotta have him inside any Top 10 list for excitement. He wanted to knock every single person out in brutal fashion.
