Rank Manny Pacquiao's Technical skill from 1-10

i thought i was being generous giving it a 6. i can't believe all of these dumb asses rated it higher!? he's got hardly any skills. great defensive footwork as far as getting in and getting out but can't cut off the ring worth ****. he uses feints, though they aren't very effective, and moves his head a lot. and he can counter effectively though not consistently. all of you who voted higher than a 6 are stupid and would get your ass whooped in a boxing ring.atsch

Would you guys rate JMM a 9 or 10?

I think he's at the very least a 9. For him to have this level of success when he's not particularly fast nor particularly strong (he hits hard for sure, but more like, just hard enough to make his counters effective) means he is where he is almost purely because of skill.

 

Its Mayweather, Marquez and Pacquiao

 

Pac's a 7. He is very skillful on the front foot, but he still kind of hops his way into the inside and his straight left is a bit... awkward(?).

 

You mad bro? His technical skill is average at best so a 7 is very reasonable, you act like everyone voted a 10 :|

9+ It's amazing to me how Manny is usually the shorter guy with shorter reach. He can always get in position to land his punches and then move away at an angle where can't be countered. That requires tremendous foot work. I still think Floyd is the superior technical fighter, but he stays at a distance and pot shots, Manny has to take chances. But when Floyd stays in the pocket, vs Mosley, Canelo ... his skills shine.

 

Rating Mayorga as a 1/10 for skill is a bit harsh...

Don't see many southpaws using the lead hand the way he does.

 

Offensively he's a juggernaught a 9 or 10, defensively 6 or 7,overall about an 8. His offensive brilliance allows him to get away with the deficiencies in other areas.
