JMM 's body of work doesn't even compare to EM and Barrera's I don't even know why he gets mentioned with these 2 . 3 close fights against 1 common opponent isn't enough IMO too be mentioned with these 2 !

    Terms of greatness:

    Morales
    Barrera
    Marquez

I rate Morales highest due to his wins over MAB and Pac which is greater than anything either MAB or JMM has done. You could argue that JMM also did that but he beat a past it MAB and decisions were too close to call for JMM/Pac (I did score the 3rd fight to JMM by a point) whereas Morales was a lot more dominant in his win.

Outside of those 2 wins his overall body of work is greatest than that of JMM's IMO. I rate him above MAB even though I think MAB has the greatest body of work because of the Pac win.

I rate MAB over JMM because MAB beating Morales twice is arguably equal to JMM draw and controversial losses to Pac. Outside of that though look at the names on MAB's resume versus JMM's, Kelly, Mckinney, Tapia, Juarez, Ayala and the other big win in Hamed.

I rate JMM the lowest cos outside of the controversial Pac decisions, his resume is solid but not "great". Katsidis, Juan Diaz, Juarez, Casamayor (shot) are not really names crying out for greatness. His best win is over a past it MAB.

H2H unsure of this. All probably even, all their fights were so close that its hard to separate them. Yes MAB beat Morales 2/3 but had they fought 5 times would he have gone 3/2 or 2/3? JMM beat MAB but IMO it was a very close fight against a past it MAB so makes you think how a prime MAB would fair. Morales vs JMM is tricky, Morales goes to war he gets outboxed, if he boxed and uses his reach, he may outbox JMM. JMM HATES counterpunchers, just look at his performances vs MAB, Norwood, John and PBF.

Marquez is the least of all of them. Barrera and Morales are legit greats. Marquez has fought Pacman but then lost big to Floyd and John. A very good fighter, but to say great? If you match Marquez with greats in boxing history he really would win those fights? I don't see it. A real great you can match up with anyone in history and they have a chance to win.

    Ricardo Lopez
    Salvador Sanchez
    Julio Cesar Chavez
    Juan Manuel Marquez
    Marco Antonio Barrera
    Erik Morales

Boy the list goes on and on..Mexico has produced some amazing and diverse boxers in the lighter divisions. My favorite is still Ricardo Lopez that dude was a complete fighter imo. I wish he would have fought Carbajal, would have been an awesome bout.

I'm sure by the list above you can see where I rank the 3 fighters that this thread actually refers to.
