How can you rank a still-active fighter in Froch, with retired fighters ?? Nonetheless, he's done what Collins & Calzaghe certainly hasn't - and fight a young, decorated proven American in America and won by KO.
I would put Dirrell and Lacy on about the same level. Dirrell in my eyes did enough to beat Froch and Calzaghe destroyed Lacy!
Then your eyes are blind son. Lacy never medalled at the Olympics like Dirrell. It's no secret that he got KTFO by Brian Magee of all people as an amateur.
is that was passes as intelligent debate in your house. Both had good records but where pretty much just novices when they fought Calzaghe and Froch. Look at the record of Lacy at the time he fought Calzaghe and look at Dirrells.
It's a pointless debate, everybody knows Lacy's status at the time compared to Dirrell, and compared to how Lacy is perceived now. And Calzaghe destroyed him so badly the term 'Lacy'd' is now used to describe such a schooling and Froch barely landed a punch all night on Dirrell. Not even comparable, Calzaghe came out with his reputation enhanced and Carl came out looking awful.
Both came out with a win :deal Lacy was Calzaghe's FIRST challenge post Eubank. Dirrel was Froch's SECOND challenge post Pascal. Calzaghe went on to fight 2 reality TV stars post Lacy Froch will go on to face the 2 BEST fighters at or around the weight in the world
are you for real? Did you not see the stupid post I was replying to - surely even you dont have the This content is protected
whats not even debatable? the fact that you arent able to debate because you cant string an arguement together?
None of that means anything in this context since we're talking value of specific wins and let me remind you Carl Froch was 30 years old before he did anything at world class and was widely considered a joke figure on this forum beforehand for his continual talking while doing not a lot. I was one of the few that actually backed him and said he would live up to his words and get there eventually. Carl was a heavy favourite over a complete novice. The only value Dirrell has is what he showed against Carl, which doesn't mean a lot until we see him more often. Lacy and Calzaghe was an even money fight with many predicting Lacy would win. Carl eeked out a SD where the majority think he lost, and either way you couldn't fail to notice how he hardly landed anything and was unconvincing at best. Calzaghe won in a dominant fashion. It's not even comparable, this is the usual hate and no objectivity.
