Roberto Duran 1 = Showed Leonard could brawl in a very entertaining fight he lost but I think he gained a ton of respect after. Thomas Hearns 1 = One of the biggest Welterweight fights of all time and pure technical masterpiece from both. Thomas Hearns 2 = Both past their prime but a very exciting fight one of the best rematches ever. Dave Boy Green = For the KO it's one of the cleanest KO's you'll ever see. Wilfred Benitez = Two amazingly skilled Welterweights in their prime going at it again another technical masterpiece.
I assume we’re talking about the five best fights in which he participated, rather than the five in which he fought best? By that measure I’d say: 1. Thomas Hearns 2. Roberto Duran I 3. Donny Lalonde 4. Ayub Kalule 5. Wilfred Benitez I like each of these for different reasons. It’s tempting to throw Hagler in here, but I enjoy these five the most.
