I think Calzaghe was the best, he had it all.

Non stop power combos to the max.

Chin of the finest welsh steel.

An engine powered by welsh coal.

    Handspeed of a demon.

    Stamina of a marathon runner.

Heart of a big green welsh dragon.

Trainer of the century in his corner.

    He was amazing.

Calzaghe would have beat them all. Even Marciano and Balboa.

McGuigan does not deserve to be above Hatton.

They mirror each other in ways in that they beat a faded legend and then never quite lived up to it again, but Hatton has better wins overall and was an undisputed champion. Technically he's also a two weight champ even if he cherrypicked the easiest beltholder. Overall better than Baz's resume, compare and contrast.

Nearly what I would go with...I'd swap Benn and Eubank despite the head to head record

And Haye has latitude to go much higher up - if he beats Wlad he goes to number four for me... two weight champ, man at the weight both times, and Wlad is a well established champ in his prime

    1. Lewis
    2. Calzaghe
    3. Hamed
    4. Benn
    5. Eubank
    6. Hatton
    7. Honeyghan
    8. McGuigan
    9. Haye
    10. Bruno

Haye could actually go top if he beats Wlad, Vitali and then Chagaev/Andre The Giant.

I didn't think that through very much

If he beats Wlad he arguably eclipses Naz (probably) and Joe (probably not quite)

He must get huge points for winning his belts on foreign soil and he's not even taken that many fights to do it

Long way to go to match Lennox IMO, he dominated a division like none of the others have, in truth

If Haye becomes World heavyweight champion as in undisputed, he tops that list -no question.

If he beat those three and became the legit heavyweight champion and defended it a few times just for historical purposes, having been cruiserweight world champ...there is only really Lewis to compare him too. He's definitely past Joe if he manages that, without a doubt.

If you think about it Vitali is one of the best names on Lennox's record. Wlad would be right up there too considering the form he's in right now. I would go as far as to say they would probably trump any of Lewis's individual wins if Haye beats Vitali in a more convincing manner. Only really Tyson and Holyfield have the pedigree of these Klit's right now, and we know they were past prime.

Lewis would still have added longevity and consistency in his favour...but Haye coming from cruiserweight sort of compensates for that, a rare achivement.

It's an exciting but (extremely) remote possibility.

I've often wondered why the canadian/ jamaican lennox lewis is rated so highly. The heavyweights of the time were ****ing shite.
