If he were to step away from the game today with wins over Wright, Tarver, DLH, Trinidad, Joppy, Echols, etc.

Rank him alltime (i.e. where do you have him in your top 100 P4P) and rank him for his generation of fighters.

All time? Top 20, but I could make a case for top 15.

    His generation? Number 1.

Wow. So I assume you put him above RJJ, and you could make a good case for that now.

Top 30 all time based on record and title defenses, one of the best of his era . I would rank him about 1,256 on the list of fighters I would pay to watch. I always hear my father talk about how Willie Pep was horrible to watch fight, one day I will speak of how brutal it was to watch the great BHOP.

I do place him above RJJ, but I rate RJJ slightly better on head to head matches, Hopkins even has possibly one more to finally seal the deal.

I have nothing against anyone rating RJJ over Hopkins, because the comparison would be by the smallest of margins.

Jones, definately above Hopkins, Jones would have beat all the guys Hopkins beat easily, well except for Taver, but Jones obviously beat Tarver once, a better Tarver at that. Also Jones accomplished wayyy more.

Really? I rank him slightly above Bernard also, but way more? What would Bernard have to do in your opinion to be ranked higher than RJJ?

Nah, i picked Wright to win but im not bitter. I think that the problem is that people forget how dominate Jones was from middleweight to lightheavy, and went up to win a version of the heavyweight title i think thats an enormous accomplishment that we will probably never see again for a long while. (Unless Bhop does it, lol)

No, I remember, Jones is a guy that I defend constantly from detractors, so don't think that I'm directly in opposition. I just don't see where Jones has a heavy lead, I can accept anybody ranking Roy over Hops by a close margin though, I can also accept someone having them even, which I almost do, but I'll edge Bernard because I like Bernard more so.

He won the HW title, but from a **** Champion, whom couldn't go through his motions of cheating against a faster, smaller fighter, it happened also against James Toney and when the cheating finally stopped, against other mediocre HW's. This has to be taken into consideration....

If Roy were to have smacked around Oleg(let's say Oleg was the guy at that point and not that fraud Ruiz), then that would truly be a merit, even though Oleg's a mediocre fighter at HW, but much more legit than Ruiz.

I five Roy the rightful credit for his win over Ruiz, he won a HW title, an accomplishment, but if you'd like to know the truth, Roy defeating one of the top CW titlists would have been a more difficult feat than against **** John Ruiz...

Well maybe not wayyy more, i think the fact that Bhop made the 20 defenses is a bit misleading cause the middleweight division was a lil' weak when JOnes, and Toney got out of the division, and his biggest wins are against DLH, Trinidad (naturally smaller men) at middleweight. At lightheavy hes only fought twice, two solid wins against Tarver and Wright. At the end of the day Jones made more significant accomplishments.
