Some of the best punchers & ATGs like Frazier, Louis, Dempsey, even Rocky...They hit very hard. But in abvsolute terms of pure measurable force, I do not think they matched the hardest hitters. More effective, best placement or combinations, arguably. Yet Shavers, Foreman, Liston & lesser lights sometimes (Ruddock, Morrison, Tua, Bruno, even Butterbean) hit harder for single shots. A great fastballer may "only" hit the mid-upper '90's. But his placement, pitch selection, & its movement can make it more effective than guys who throw over 100 (record Chapman, near 106 MPH).
right cross definitely:shavers. left hook:frazier or galento(also tua tyson). right upper:tyson. jab(speed)ali,(power)liston.
Devastating left hookers were Eduardo Lausse a middleweight from the 50's and Bob Foster as a light heavy.
