1.) Sergio Martinez. No questions asked best MW in the world right now. Very unorthodox style. VERY fast feet. . . Fast hands. Good power in both hands. He really doesn't have a good defense, but his feet are so damn quick, he can skeet away from danger. . . But watch, he can't really catch shots with his gloves, elbows, or forearms like you would think a guy with his speed could. Basically NO GUARD. . .

2.) Pirog. I know a lot of people say Jacobs was untested, and unproven, but he was (is, if he recovers and comes back) a VERY good talent. . . He was expected to be fodder for Jacobs, and completely flipped the script. . VERY FLUID. . Very good power and speed, but more importantly, TIMING. . . He "understands" boxing on a scientific level. . . Extremely high ring IQ.

3.) Felix Sturm - Probably should have lost to Murray, and Macklin, but it wasn't really the blatant robbery like some make out; he landed some hard, clean shots. Very good, tight, guard. . . Good jab. . Good power. Speed is just meh. . . If he beats Zbik convincingly, then he proves why he belongs here.

4.) Hassan N'Dam N'Jikam - One of my favorites! Prolly should have lost to Lee in the ammy's. . . But I LOVE his style! That fast, sleek guy who fights off the backfoot with a high workrate. . EVERYTHING off the jab! Straight rights off the jab! Hooks off the Jab! Uppercuts off the jab! Very good speed and power. . . Lets hope he ups his competition level in 2012-2013.

5.) Daniel Gaele - Underrated slickness. . . Resume leaves something to be desired, but I thought he beat Mundine. . . And to go into Germany and beat Sylvester who is a solid boxer, says a lot. . . Probably should be higher than Pirog, but I just feel that he will lose to Pirog hwen they fight in August (LETS HOPE IT GETS PUT TOGETHER ON HBO!!! Boxnation for my british brethren!)

6.) Chavez Jr. Really doesn't deserve the hate he gets. For having NO AMMY EXPERIENCE, he has came a long way. His draw and win (although controversial) over Carlos Molina is looking better. . This was in his early career as well. . . Zbik is a very good little boxer, and I thought Chavez JUST nicked it with his inside body work. He definitely proves his mettle if he beats Lee (NOT by robbery).

7.) Andy Lee. Good technician. Very good outside fighter with excellent straight left, and right hook to boot. Uses his jab more of a range-finder, and "set-up", rather than an actual point scoring, painful punch. We'll learn A LOT if he can keep Chavez off him, and piece him up over 12.

8.) Peter Quillin. Has just as much upside as Pirog. . . Probably the best athlete of hte lot aside from Sergio. Kinda sloppy at times, and more hittable than you'd think. . . Thought he got a gift stoppage against McEwan (one of the worst I've seen in recent memory), but to be fair, he was dominating. . .

9.) Golovkin. After seeing him struggling against a natural 147 pounder in Ouma, I questioned his ability. . . He was looking like a rock'em sock'em robot with his head getting bounced around, and snapped back. . . Lets see what happens.

10.) Matty Macklin. Showed he has a little more to his game against Martinez. . . I thought he won a good many of the early and mid rounds, but he kinda tired out, and Martinez was studying him round by round, and eventually got the kill. . . Still, his performance against Sergio was nothing to be ashamed of. A little better than Barker's. I have faith Dibella, and HBO will bring him back.

4 years later Golovkin is the only one left. All the others (beside Hassan N'Dam N'Jikam and Lee) are done

Tbf you called it quite well. Funny how this is still the mantra after all this time "but he needs to fight a big name at 160 (hopefully X)"
