Fights involving Campillo are hard to watch. You just know he'll get robbed.

Great thread. I can see Dawson and Sillakh eventually being the fight to crown who is the best. A lot of great fights to be made!!! I would guess within the next year Dawson will be number 1.

This said I do really need to research more on Shumenov and Campillo as I don't know much about them.

I would really like to see Cloud fight Pascal. Cleverly I can't see beating Dawson, Sillakh or Hopkins & think Cloud would maybe be too strong for him.

You see the Murat re-match? That was a draw, and a pretty bad one...

Thanks. I too think Dawson will be the man for the next upcoming couple years.

Cloud vs. Pascal would be a good one. I think Pascal's stamina would get him knocked out in the middle or last third of the fight. What do you think?

I see Cleverly losing to all of: Hopkins, Dawson, Pascal, Cloud, Shumenov, Silakh, and Campillo. I would favor him over everyone else mentioned in this thread, though.

I find Cloud Pascal a really intriguing fight; I think Cloud is going to be a hard fight physically for practically everyone but will get undone from the more technical fighters like Dawson, Hopkins and Sillakh. Him and Pascal I think will be a war but I agree I think Cloud will make the difference in the later rounds.

Pretty mad how interesting light-heavyweight is right now!

Oh hey, what's this? Is this a bump because it's better than every thread out there? Yes it is...

As of today, 4/9/12, the Ring Top 10 at light heavyweight is:

    C- Bernard Hopkins
    1. Jean Pascal
    2. Chad Dawson
    3. Tavoris Cloud
    4. Nathan Cleverly
    5. Adrian Diaconu
    6. Zsolt Erdei
    7. Gabriel Campillo
    8. Beibut Shumenov
    9. Karo Murat
    10. Ismayl Sillakh

My opinions are very strong here and are the following:
-Dawson should be above Pascal despite the H2H defeat.
-Diaconu deserves to be ranked 9th at absolute best, not 5th.
-Campillo should be no lower than the 4th spot. In reality, 3rd and ahead of Cloud.
-Cleverly does not deserve to be higher ranked than any let alone all of Erdei, Campillo, and Shumenov.

Hopkins vs. Dawson II is happening in just under 3 weeks on 4/28. I did not think the fight would materialize, so there goes the top end of my "one year from then rankings." I believe Dawson will win decisively.

If Kessler stays at LHW, he should be in top 3 one year from now.

Cleverly will hopefully get found out before then and hopefully it will lead to the following...

    1. Cleverly leaving Frank and joining Matchroom
    2. Cleverly leaving Vince and actually getting a trainer who knows what he's doing, Clev has been on a steady decline since joining his dad.

    Kessler is a good shout.

He'll need to do more than Allan Green to get in the top 3 though.

I never said that Hopkins was winning.

I thought Dawson was in control of the first fight and believe he will win again in the rematch.

But you look like a dick for posting the smiling waving guy.

    Interesting take... Thanks.

Yeah, I don't think Cleverly is as good as the current Ring ranking of #4. I was expecting him to win more convincingly against Bellew, and other than he and Murat, Cleverly has a whole bunch of wins which together are impressive, but individually aren't really that great.

:nono Pascal isn't getting KO'd anytime soon. Never been down in the pros, too big of a survival instinct.

    4/27/12 UPDATE:

    Denis Grachev TKO8 Ismayl Sillakh

For the four people who actually made lists, looks like we got Sillakh wrong. Very wrong.

I felt bad for thinking Proksa was last years' Prospect of the Year, with most people whom insulted me pointing to Sillakh as the clear cut deserved winner. Oh boxing...
