    I know I'm 12 days premature, but...

Ring Rankings at 175 as of 1/7/13:

    C- Chad Dawson
    1. Bernard Hopkins
    2. Tavoris Cloud
    3. Gabriel Campillo
    4. Nathan Cleverly
    5. Beibut Shumenov
    6. Karo Murat
    7. Isaac Chilemba
    8. Juergen Braehmer
    9. Tony Bellew
    10. Jean Pascal

    Observations:
-Boy was I wrong about Cloud actually beating Campillo.
-Surprised Hopkins rematched Dawson, but not surprised at all by the result.
-Pascal, even with the horrible inactivity, deserves to be #4 on their list, at least #6.
-Silakh made a lot of people look really stupid.
-Surprised Braehmer showed his face, really.

Dawson is on his way out, Cleverly has a very tough fight next week, Chilemba also fading fast. And the craziest part of your list: Where are Stevenson and Kovalev? Kovalev would beat have the fighters on this list and you leave him off. Stevenson destroys Dawson aqnd you put Dawson at #1?:nono
Espn list of top LHW much different. Much closer to the truth I think.

At the time this thread was started Kovalev was only on anyone's radar as the russian guy who'd just killed a guy in the ring. He had a great KO record but that was about it. Darnell Boone was the best name on his resume and that was a SD win.

It's always fun to look back a year or two just to see how quick things change tho. LOL - The Black Russian, though he's done OK since, the bubble's burst already. Sad Chad sparked by Stevenson, Kovalevs breakout (fight was only in January remember, before that he was basically unknown 'cept for a few hardcore guys) -lotta stuffs happened this year.

    Quick thoughts on the rankings:

-Ranking Pascal at all is crazy. He hasn't made the LHW limit since the Hopkins rematch in May of 2011. That's damn near two and a half years.
-Having Cleverly above Dawson is pretty silly.
-Bellew should be ahead of Murat.
    -Where is Andrzej Fonfara?
-Guys like Erdei and Shumenov, despite inactivity (which the Ring is a hypocrite for keeping Pascal and even Murat ranked), really are top 10 LHW's. Victories over these two mean more to me than Braehmer and Murat at least.

And a big shout out to the Light Heavyweight division, with all the potential in the world 3-1 year(s) ago, dropping a big old deuce. That top 10 pretty much sucks.

Look at the start date of the thread.

This post is why I edited the top so anyone can realize that.
