1. Golden boy 2. Top rank 3. Gary shaw promotions 4. K2 promotions 5. Arena box golden is my #1 on accounts they promote the highest grossing events and is #1 on hbo's favs list top rank has some of the best/most marketable fighters gary shaw promotes great cards time after time and has a ton of future stars k2 is the kiltschkos who make bank everywhere they fight arena box has some great future stars under their banner and always put on a great show. I left out don king because his shows are atrocious nowadays and couldn't draw a stick figure.
Goosen/Tudor is very good . They have Paul Williams, Chris Arreola, James Toney, Edison Miranda and Andre Ward.
1. Top Rank 2. Golden Boy 3. Sauerland Event 4. Gary Shaw 5. Goosen Tutor Promotions 6. K2 7. Universum 8. Don King 9. Arena box promotion 10. Frank Warren
The UK promotors are a bit of the top at the min. Frank Warren has a potentially great roster of fighters, in 3 years 3 or 4 could be very special. He just has to hold onto them. Its more of a transitional time for him at min but will be back. Hennesy could be in for a bad year, no tv deal and his loyal fighters should move on for their own benifit. Hatton is an interesting one and will only grow to get bigger. Has a tv deal and a decent domestic roster, and am sure will be circaling Hennessys camp! Expect to see him move into world level promotion in next few years. Hayemaker looked promising but Setanta going bust has scuppered him a bit. Thankfully loaned Groves out to get tv coverage but needs a tv deal of own. Cant argue with GBP being number 1 at the min.
That's better, although I still think K2, DKP and Goosen Tutor are high, and Teiken (the top outfit in Japan) is noticably absent and should be there, at least ahead of Arena Box. Seminole Warriors, Frank Maloney and Branco Milenkovic probably deserve a shout out as well.
GB is good at marketing but Top Rank is think way better at developing fighters, especially young talent.
rank them in what ? how much money they make for there fighters or how much exposure there promotion gives to there boxers to a tv audience ? most american promoters make there fighters good money, but also get about as many people to watch as a tiddlywink match between chimps on you tube.
hmm says . . . top rank... more history with great fighters and great fights... golden boy just notorious for high grossing fights around our generation...
Yeah, him too. Probably about on par with wherever Goosen-Tutor is. One more shout out is Interbox, which seems to do a great job of promoting its fighters even if it's not the biggest company in the world.
