I find it hard to watch Benitez despite his obvious talent but I will do with Napoles, he seems the majority choice here & yet he is the one Ive seen the least of.

This isn't even a contest. Jose Napoles is lightyears above the rest...

If punch accuracy is your defining factor then I'm not sure Floyd is the prudent choice. PBF is an accurate puncher of course, but he is not a phenom in that respect. If you check the punch stats from the 1st Castillo fight, he was beaten all ends up by JLC, both in terms of volume and percentages, and JLC isn't exactly a Sugar Ray. If you compare that with Bernard Hopkins's accuracy, the old man seems supernatural. Other than a fight when he was relatively raw and facing an absolute phenom in prime Jones, I don't believe he has even been beaten on percentages in his career, and that includes "losses" incurred to Taylor and Calzaghe when he no longer had the stamina to match them volume-wise. Hop's punching technique and accuracy are some of the best I've ever seen.

Hate to say it but i think Mayweather has the most skills. Dont wanna hear that im biased cause i am not a Mayweather fan but you cant deny his skills its very close though i Can see putting Napoloes #1, maybe im going against the grain. Bottom line though in an alltime list Mayweather still has some unfinished buisness.
    Mayweather
    Napoloes
    GOmez
    Benitez

What makes Mayweather the most skilled?

Just so hard to hit and i think hed outbox even many all time greats. Has the potential to become an elite ATG. I hope Shane whups him though.

IMO 2nd best defensive fighter of the modern era(after WHittaker) even better than Benitez. Dare i say maybe even Willie Pep? I wont but on Par and only behind Pernell.

You are overrating his abilities for sure amigo. Falling for the self-propaganda a little methinks. Above 130, Floyd has simply not demonstrated the combination punching ability to be considered a better fighter than Napoles, nor an 'elite ATG'. Cruising to dull UD's vs overmatched opponents by safety-first pot-shotting is not indicative of true greatness. Emphatically putting top quality opponents to the sword is, and Floyd has (a) not fought enough top quality opponents to truly prove his skills when it counts, and (b) failed to dominate or emphatically defeat the best opponents he has faced, namely JL Castillo (who beat him once IMO) and a faded ODLH.

But even then, is elusiveness and defence really the primary factor to consider when evaluating overall skillset?? I do not believe so, not at all. It may be very aesthetically pleasing, but boxing is combat, it is not based around not being hit, it is based on hitting.

Going by your evaluation, Nicolino Locche is a more skilful fighter overall than Ray Robinson. I'm sure you can see the flaw in the logic there.

Why? Because the question is too flawed or because of the discussion they often generate?
