They're just old. They've also been giving the forum a bad rep among many top writers I've met online. I'll do my own lists every now and then, just for the hell of it. But the whole "ATG, Resume, Accomplishments, H2H, P4P, Brackets, Tiers" thing is just overdone, IMO. We need more legitimate discussions about actual careers and events than hypotheticals. This forum is starting to get overrun with these types of threads.

No slight on you, by the way. I know how you roll, I'm just telling it like it is.

Really? I do rate his defence higher than some on this forum but definitly not that high. Mayweather has failed to consistently showcase his abilities in the top class.

I actually think this thread was quite an interesting one by these types of thread's standards. Although generally like you I think there is not enough discussion about fighters careers etc.. Although I do think on this forum we dont actually discuss the fighters fighting ability enough but this thread does discuss it.

Mayweather would be lucky to get into the bottom half of a top ten, if i did a list on modern era defensive fighters.

I agree with your rankings for other reasons.

Fair enough amigo. I just think these threads generate more discussion. I spent half an hour writing a pretty lengthy opinion thread on Nelson and Fenech a couple of weeks ago and it sank without trace after one or two posts (from Fleaman and GPater I think). Same with another recent one where I asked a question regarding Luis Manuel Rodriguez. Raging Bull wrote a brilliant response then it died for weeks before Sweet_Scientist resurrected it briefly. Say what you want about ability-comparisons, but they get people talking. Maybe you should be more active in initiating more fighter specific threads? I enjoyed your one on Canzoneri vs Chocolate a while back.

These threads are fine (stylistic comparisons, who was better in a certain area) but the constant influx of 'who's higher out of these pretty evenly matched combatants' does get old.

The hypothetical tournaments were good, but I got bored by the 1/4 finals and couldn't be arsed to finish mine

McGrain always posts very good threads, so I'm sure Pea's happy with them. StoneHands 'The Gods Of War' created a lot of debate (on the thread rather than the articles which are superb and unslagoffable) and apart from some people which really are on here just to troll (which over the past 6 months has seemingly increased by the day; the same guy?) I think the Classic is still alive, even if it is on life support for a [period every so often.
