It's a toss up between JMM and Joe Calzaghe.

Winky and JLC while solid fighters who competed at the top tier for a short space in time, did not compile the amount of wins, nor the types of wins the other two managed to compile, which is why neither went higher than about #5 P4P.

JMM - succeeded at more weight classes, had more notable names like Casamayor and MAB in amongst good solid fighters like Diaz, Juarez and the disputable decisions with Pacquaio.

Calzaghe - never got beat, dominated his era in a weight class and went up and beat the lineal/ring champion at the next weight, had some notable wins throughout and finished his career with some of his strongest wins, rather than lopsided losses.

I'd put Calzaghe #1, JMM #2, Winky #3 (on the basis of beating Mosley) and JLC #4

I can't really seperate Calzaghe, JMM, Castillo. Their resume's are pretty close.

The only reason why I can't separate Calzaghe from them is because he hasn't lost. He doesn't really have the names on his resume besides an old but still good Hopkins, Kessler, Reid, Woodhall and Eubank.

Edit: actually all four of them are close resume wise, I can't decide on any of them. If Calzaghe had got beaten then he would definitely be number 4 but he was undefeated so I got to give him that.

We are discussing resume only. Keep it to the names, the men they fought, nothing else is under consideration in this thread.

For my money, Winky Wright has the best resume.

2 convincing wins over Shane Mosley, a schooling of Tito Trinidad, plus I believe Winky deserved the decision against a peak Jermain Taylor and a peak Fernando Vargas.

Winky could easily have been given a draw in his fight with B-Hop, and had a host of other decent, solid wins like McKart and Quartey.

I hate Calzaghe but he has got to be above Winky and Castillo.

  12. What is a resume, or cv? A list of qualifications, experience and employment history. Translated into a boxing environment - that includes achievements as well as names fought...

If that's your interpretation of the term, fair enough mate, please proceed with your answer. But I don't think that is the widespread perception of the word in boxing circles, I think it is used purely to refer to the competition faced, and that achievements are seen as a separate though obviously linked thing. But hey, please proceed mate, there is no concrete boxing dictionary so I suppose all definitions are valid.
