He had that level of skills and to me he quit before he could have the big fights. The legacy fights. Canelo is doing it. Moving up and making history. Ward did not. It is about taking more chances. Ward decided not to really risk much.

Well, let's look at what they have done.

Wladimir Klitschko- he beat world title holders Byrd x2, Botha, Mercer, Peter x2, Brewster, Ibragimov, Rahman, Chagaev, Haye, Mormeck, and Povetkin. He also beat Schulz, Barrett, Jefferson, McCline, Williamson, Brock, Thompson x2, Pulev, and others. He went 25-4 in world title fights... with two of those losses coming in his last two fights (4 months prior to age 40 amd 41 years old). With Manny Steward in his corner he was almost unbeatable... yes, their first fight together Klitschko lost to Brewster but he won every other time Steward was with him.

Ward did make his own legacy he won the super 6 as a underdog moved up and he took on a killer in kovalev when people said he wouldnt do it and if he did he would be destroyed. Ggg wouldnt even move up to take on light punching ward. A fighter can retire when they want it's not like he retired at 28 he was like 34 and past his prime in his career he has some very impressive wins and a undefeated record. In a couple of years from now he will be inducted into the hof for his work. Not too bad if you ask me

I see a lot of people have ranked Donaire over Cotto, and I tend to agree. Cotto may have had the best single win/name on paper (Mosley), but I think Donaire peaked higher, was a more potent fighter at his best (despite being less rounded than Cotto, he had superior physical tools and overwhelming speed and power), and had a really underrated run through multiple weight classes. Could definitely see Cotto being ahead, though, and I wouldn't argue.

I sort of fear the HOF voters will forget his special run a bit, and that he will have trouble getting into the Hall.

This is a subjective list but Ward has a good resume: Prime Kessler, prime Froch, peak Kovalev (the heaviest hitter P4P IMO), Abraham and Dawson. Fighter of the decade. And the thing with Ward is he was able to emulate all styles in the ring, defense and offense. Had head movements, footwork, tremendous chin, handspeed and power. The total package. Ring IQ among the best. I saw him catch a jab with his right hand and connect with that same hand. Converting a blocking move into an offensive one, i mean, wut? Knew all the tricks including hitting you in the nuts. He was able to throw wide and short punches, fighting inside as well as outside, had the complete variety of punches and a jab commanding respect. One of the most complete fighter in history.

Good list comrade Bailey albeit mine would look a little different when factoring GGG's 2 wins over Clenelo, Ward's loss against Kovalev, and Clenelo and Mosley's PED abuse

Yeah they're rarely easy to do. However, your elite level posting skills stood you in good stead.

As usual no list of your own just irrational hate and excuses because a fighter you don't like beat a fighter you like. What's even funnier is you probably didnt even see the fight just like you said you didnt even see kovalev-canelo. Start actually watching fights if not log off old man.

You have a scary hatred of GGG dont you. That much is obvious. You accuse others of hating but you seem to be one of the worst. What has Ward done since the Super Six, where he had every fight at home, but fight four clubfighters
& really lose 2 fights to Kovalev ?? Nothing Sweet Fanny Adams :risas3::risas3::risas3:

You really have hate for Ward don't you? A guy who's light years more proven than GGG is that's for damn sure. What has GGG done but be the biggest diva in boxing, lose and draw to Canelo and who's best win is Danny Jacobs? LMFAO! Are you serious?? BTW did you even see the Kovalev-Canelo fight? You don't even watch the fights just talk **** like you know what you're talking about. Where's your list CJ Rock? You probably haven't even seen half of the guys on it fight.
